How do the ko's perform after 50 percent wear or more?

Probably like any tire @ 50% (Of course not counting mud terrains which still perform good @ 15-20%)

BFG TA KO's have a bad reputation for getting hard as they wear and performing worse. The softer tread is on the outermost layers for grip, when that wears way they use a much harder compound to get 50k miles out of them.

People put the tires on and love them, then are amazed when they hit 40-50k. They don't realize that after 20k the grip sucks.

 

But seriously. I couldn't agree more. I bought them for my wheeling in the sand. They worked great the first two trips to the beach. After I put probably 15-20k on them, went back to the beach and was really disappointed.

Other cons -
-They pick up and throw rocks like no tomorrow (read: paint chips)
-The tread clogs with snow, freezes, and the tires basically become ice skates.

I have about 8-10k on my Revo 2s and they are great. Better than my KOs EVER were. They perform great in the snow and don't throw rocks. (Haven't tested them in sand yet.)

I cant say anything bad about the tire... My last set had maybe 10% tread and still worked well in the snow had them in the sawtooth mountains of Idaho runnin up four wheeler trails and never had a problem with them.

I've run 3 different set of BFG A/T KOs on 2 different trucks, logging well-over 100K miles on & off-road through Colorado, Montana, and Pennsylvania winters. They NEVER disapapointed me while lasting over 50K miles/set.
