Anyone into R/C?

na my fiancees uncle helped build a track at a local middle school and he has a key to it so i go when ever he calls me up lol. i'll be there tomorrow.

Looking to try out a new track that one looks fun

 

Anyone have any experience with a jato transmission or differential acting funny? Mine's having "shit-fits". . .

 

what exactly is it doing?

 

I suspect that something is broke inside the transmission. It's hard to explain... I think I might post up a video of what it's doing sometime soon.

It's like the gears in it lock up. But you can turn both rear tires forward with your hands at the same time, and you feel a sharp "chunk" and it'll run fine under it's own power until something happens to cause one wheel to turn in the opposite direction. Then it just sits and revs but won't anywhere. I'm thinking that maybe this is related to my spur gear being demolished . . .

 

If you think something is broken than take it apart and check it out

I'd just take it all apart (transmission and diff) to see if there is any damage.

It sounds like some tranny gears might be fubar'd

Thinking about just replacing the whole tranny with a new single speed setup . . .

Yup, I'm guessing one out of a rustler or nitro sport would fit pretty easily?

Yea, I've seen that before. I can just replace the whole unit for like 20 bucks, though. I might just do that . . . then sell it. I need to get it sold so I don't break it and have to fix it anymore.

Then I can go brushless with my short course truck.
