Anyone ever bought these headlights?

Has anyone ever bought this kit or the headlights atleast? and if so anyone have them on a marron taco?

 

yes, my bro bought me a pair for my bday couple years ago and they shoot a beam off on the right side of the road and i can hardly see and i have 12000K HID's. just ordered a oem style with the reflective covering the hole inside of the housing unlike these it covers everything but the bottom i believe. my opinion i don't like them one bit.

 

^^Well damn, with 12k HID i wouldnt expect to see a whole lot on the road..thats alot of blurple.

 

well its from a german HID manufacture...great HID's don't get me wrong. We have them on all the cars in my fam and have a set of purple on one of them. but as for the head light housing i have now they leak water and dirt in them. not happy with what i got but i like that it looked good but not so much performed on reflection of light.

 

I gotcha, thats when you just go ahead and save money from an HID kit and do it right the first time and go with some projectors from TRS cause then you will have to seal the headlight up anyway and shouldnt have any leaks

 

what do you mean my shoot a beam of light on the right side? and was it this exact same kind? I really want smoked headlights but dont want to buy some and them just suck haha

 

Just do a very light coat of vht on your stock ones but do it right and take all the preperation steps as with any paint project otherwise it will look horrible...if anything goto a paint shop and have them mix black and clear together and shoot your lights with it...there is another member on here that did that and his looks sweet and everything is still visible

 

it looks like the driver side headlight is a vertical beam pointing off to the right even though i had toyota re-align my lights and the passenger side is a horizontal beam. they (manufacture) do this so that the oncoming traffic or ones in front of you don't get blinded. but they don't realize that it doesn't give you enough light IMO...

Yeah i would do that i just need all new lights almost and id like for the corner lights to be all black/clear and not orange...i just dont think it looks good on my truck

 

that would make me mad haha...and we have same color trucks haha looks good though only if the lights didnt mess up...have you ever tried resealing them?

 

If your gonna spend money on new lights id honestly just recommend going ahead and getting projectors and new heaadlight housings from Rockauto.com then retrofit the projectors into those housings and since you wont need the headlight bowl anymore you can just paint it black inside so you will have the smoked look..Thats what i plan on doing anyway

 

Yeah that sounds bad ass haha...and im good at doing that but if you retro fit it will it still have same bulb size and bi xenon?

You can get the fulll kit cheaper from TRS than that one on Amazon, and im pretty sure it comes with adapter plates for H7 and H4 bulbs...

no didn't want to spend time cause the beam will still be the same. i like my light out put more than looks. cause you don't see one thing it could make the hole truck not look good. sucks but gotta sometimes look at safety of keeping what looks good already you know???

Yeah i guess haha i just kinda want stuff to be perfect for my truck im almost ocd asbout it haha but yeah i just took mud flaps off and am bout to go see if i can get job at car wash and lift it and stuff!
