I may do that. I'm seeing $130 from sda for sa-8's but I've never built a vented box before so I'd have to get some help with that.

 

The box i just recently built for the sa-8 to go in my truck i used a round port and built th box around it since i jacked it out of a house sub box...you can buy round ports at any audio store or on sonicelectronix and whatnot and you can even use a piece of PVC pipe if you have to...i can help you if you wanted to get together one day and build it...i been building boxes for a few years now.Look at the last page of my build for the pics of the box for the sa-8...i just primed it tonight and hopefully will get it bedlined tomorrow!

 

Which diff is that? Is that an 8.4" or a TRD e-locker?

didnt happen today but it happened on friday the 13 and thought i would share with you guys

i was planning to go to the shooting range for the first time, woot. when i left my house i noticed that it was friday the 13 and i was like hmm guns on this day should be fun lol. picked up the GF and my friend so we could all go for the first time and her semi bday gift. Driving on the free way when all of a sudden the car in front of me slams his breaks and i try to do the same but didnt work out and then guess what happens. BOOM smash the other cars bumper and trunk like a BOSS. No one was hurt besides the vehicles YAY.
the Highway patrol that came came from the shooting range . they took like an hour and a half to come and get the police report and tow the cars off the freeway.

Mai Taco is at the shop my friends dad works at to get repaired but he is gonna need 700 dollars to get started on fixing the car because he is gonna be buying everything and doing all the work himself.

I also named my Tacoma that day =[ after all this happened . Mai Taco =] SO SAD!!!!

Pretty sweet rigs. Old school bronco was a beast! Three rigs got stuck. The brand new Jeep Rubicon, Jeep sport, old school ford! Tacoma did just fine!

 

So, the more I've been reading about replacing all of the rear light bulbs with LEDs, I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it. The main reason I originally wanted to replace them all with LEDs (or get a new assembly with LEDs integrated) was for all of my lights to be brighter. It seems like some people who get the LEDs say they aren't much brighter.

Is there anyone on here who has actually replaced all of their rear bulbs with LEDs on their 1st gen taco?


The two different options I was considering:

1. Order all the LED replacements from superbrightleds.com and use the stock assembly.

2. Buy new assemblies off eBay that have the LED tail/brake lights already in there, and then dropping in LEDs for my reverse lights.


I guess I'm really just seeking guidance and more knowledge about what the options are for taillight mods.
