2012 air injection question.

is it possible to run the truck without the air injection pump and egr? my old firebird had that crap on there. and i took it off, made the car run better to.

 

Did you do any searching around on here and/or google? Or did you just think of the question and post it first before putting any further thought into it.

 

A quick search on the forum found nothing directly related... have to search deeper!

Little reminder, the OP has a 2012. Yes that is redundant to re-iterate due to the obvious question, but it seems that you have already overlooked the fact that the 2012s are so new and have added that stupid feature which they didn't on earlier models. Thus the question for help. Your answer was just as redundant as my response about the year model, and not helpful at all. Coming from someone who has so many posts, you would think you would be more apt to help and not less

 

The egr is there for emissions and to reduce combustion temps....I see no upside to removing it.
