What have you done to your truck lately
Went to Toyota for my first 5,000 miles Service. Toyota changed oil, top off fluid & Rotate Tires. Left the dealer 3 miles down the road trying to get on the freeway noticed my back end was shaking and swerving back and forth pulled over come to find out all lug nuts came off and the rim was held on by the drum. Called Toyota they sent a tow truck. Waiting for repairs on the truck. Look like rim, lug nuts, drum needs to be replaced. Wouldn't you think there is a check list before the vehicle leaves Service?

Wow. That's crazy. I've seen where they don't change out the oil filters but never, not put on lugs.

As a tech I've seen guys only put lug nuts on by hand like a few threads, but that's why you test drive to make sure nothing is wrong rookies lol

Wow. They would have gotten an earful from me if I was in your position.

That is not okay, by any means. That could be a life threatening mistake.

when shit like this happens i would be in the dealership throwing a shit fit, especially if my wife or kids were with me at the time. That is uncalled for and they are so freaking lucky you did not get in a wreck and hurt yourself or someone else. Someone would definetly lose their job over this. I might suggest going somewhere else, i only go to one shop that knows there shit and would never forget something so elementary like tightening down lugs. Side note glad your alright.

soooo great.. funny, go to my thread i posted and tell a select few on there this story... i said i was changing my own oil because i don't trust them fucks! and no sense in "rotating the tires if you aren't balancing them, which they aren't doing.

Had the kids in the back. I think another 5 feet I would have lost the tire. Service was done on Saturday so i am guessing only the rookies and hang over mechanics were working. Trying to see if I can get a deal on a super charger. Waited 2 hours for the tow truck to come.

That is absolutely ridiculous. You should be getting the SC free of charge!

Maybe take this up with corporate and see how far that takes you?
