    when I bought mine I remember seeing the bed and thinking "hmm, don't have to worry about rust" then I jumped in the back and it felt solid to me so I never really questioned what it was made of, I was just happy I wouldn't have to spend extra $$$ on getting a bed liner.

    i like mine. im still wary about just throwing stuff back there ( like a cinder block or heavy hammer etc) i still dont quite know if its strong enough to handle a solid impact. but most likely it is.

    Had a ton of wood pellets in the back of my old 09 Taco. Bed held up no problem, engine and trans handled it no problem, but the suspension didnt care for it much. lol
