I would stay away from Dodge/Chrysler products as well as GM... Built to last till you pay it off all so you can go buy another... I don't care if they are "American made", all that means to me lately is crappy foreign parts from china so they can make the most money they can off of you.

Had a 2001 Dodge RAM 1500, engine problems at around 100K. Dodge never again.

Traded it in for a Tacoma.

Not rated doesn't mean it got bad ratings it means they haven't been through government crash testing yet. Pervious f-150s were 4-5 stars depending on which seat.

i think it’s a ’11 but i’m not 100% sure. and if it is it should have been through all the government crash testing.

resale value of dodge (non-diesel) sucks, taco's hold MUCH better value in the long run, and our tranny's last way longer :)

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I drove an '12 Ram a couple of weeks ago. Although I was impressed with the engine and shifting, the steering was deplorable. It felt like it was wandering. This truck had 20's and only 2800 miles on it.

And don't let "HEMI" be a selling point. It's just an advertising ploy.

I've been a Dodge fan for a long time. My parents more recent was an 07 1500 Hemi Bighorn edition. Truck was powerful, but I feel as though the transmission just really didn't hold up like it should. It was a lease vehicle and had slippage by 30k miles when it got turned back in. Truck was driven by my mother only and she was far from hard on the thing. Wouldn't let anyone drop stuff in the Rhino lined bed lol, it was funny really.

My honest recommendation is go with the Tacoma. You'll be more pleased with it in the long run.

To add: When going over lets say rail road tracks the trucks suspension made it jump either to the left or right when hitting the bumps. In slick conditions it would borderline cause the truck to get sideways if not controlled quickly.

That is FUGLY!! Ford F150 or a Taco. If you can afford it, go with the Tundra.

Ohhh! Be careful, I got in to a full on forum fight when debating the term "hemi" with a TacomaWorld regular... Some people cling tightly to that overused, inaccurate term.

The best way I can put it in my mind is... How many 20 year old Dodges do you see booting around? How many Toyota's?

Final question... Which one is worth any money what-so-ever?

I am biased though... Never have liked dodge beyond the body-style of the late 90's Dakota R/T. But even with that body style, I would never even think of buying one.

I see more 1991-era Dodge Rams around here than Toyota trucks... I'm not saying anything about longevity, just sayin'.

Seems like the Tacoma would fit the needs you discribed unless you were into some heavy hauling. Toyota should hold its value. Its your choice ,,,,,,,,I`d go with the Tacoma.

    must be your area.

There are 1st gen tacomas, 80-90's 4 runners and 80-90's pickups out the ass here...

Literally every 4-5 driveways has a Yota in it...
