Got mine done today. IT IS GREAT I'm glad that I found this site. Gary Force in Bowling Green KY was great about it. Dropped off at 9am done at 2pm. Could not say to many good things about them. Also they ordered my tailgate no questions asked

Atkinson Toyota of BryanCollege Station, Texas begrudgingly performed the TSB on my truck last year. Living about an hour away from them, I called the Service Manager before I made the trip, told him of the suspension bottoming out & the TSB, and he told me to bring it in. After keeping it all day, he told me they could not replicate the poor suspension performance and asked me to bring it back in with a load in the bed. Annoyed, I called the 800 number to relate the experience, and, within one day, the dealership called me to bring the truck back in, and they finally installed the new springs and shocks. Disappointing, especially after purchasing three vehicles from them over the past few years. We’ve since switched dealers.

Called my local dealer where I bought my truck, Dan Cava's Toyota World, and talked to the service department about the TSB. No hassles, they are ordering the parts and will call me when they come in and set up the appointment. I will update after the work has been completed.

West Ashley Toyota of Charleston, SC did the TSB on my '09. I had to call Toyota Customer Service to generate a case number for my truck, then bring it in to the dealer. The tech took one look at the old 3-leaf "G" springs, said they were the wrong part number, and they did the swap with no hassle. It took 3 days for the parts to come in and one day for the replacement. I'm VERY happy with the new 4-leaf springs. The truck sits higher and rides better than it did with the "G" springs...much less bounce over speed bumps, etc.

Had mine done a couple weeks ago at Greentree Toyota in Danbury, CT.

Took it in for an oil change and mentioned to them that it bottomed out with little weight in the bed. While I was waiting, he came back to me and said there was a TSB on that (I new that, but played dumb) and would order the parts that day.

Picked up my truck after work yesterday from Dan Cava's Toyota World in Fairmont, WV. They did the TSB and alignment with no hassles. Truck rides higher in the air and handles better now. Glad I had it done.

Classic Toyota in Round Rock Texas did the suspension TSB on my 06 Tacoma DBL Cab with 30k miles. They tried telling me @ 1st that the TSB didn't apply since I had a prerunner and that it only applied to 4x4. I insisted they get clarification from Toyota and they did and said I was good to go. Have your VIN ready to give to your dealer as the TSB lists the applicable VINs.

I'd just call each service department and ask how much. I've been to Champion, Charles Maund, and Round Rock and have gotten the best responses from Round Rock.

Rear Leaf TSB, Billy 5100's with the fronts at 1.75"
Abajian Toyota of Walla Walla finished mine today. They actually installed my new front Billies (@ 1.75", I installed the rears) and replaced the rear-springs last week. When they finally brought it out of the service bay at 5:45 pm I said "And you guys did an alignment right?" Naturally they said - No. You don't get an alignment with this TSB...

I pull out the printed copy of the TSB I had on my seat and showed them the PreRunner specs, "Oh, I guess you do get an alignment, when can you bring it back?"

The moral of the story? Print the TSB out and bring it with you to the dealership. If they start to whine just say, "Well, I can call Torrance if I need to, but I was hoping to avoid all that".

The ride is much better now - New rear springs, new tires, new shocks and an alignment!

I've got another 8 months and 8500 miles left on my warranty, so I'm going to wait a few weeks and get the tranny-mount vibration TSB done.

I've had the rear spring TSB performed, a TSB for an oil leak at the timing chain cover, a TSB for a bad squeak in the front end and now my compass and temp panel went out - yet another TSB. I am just one month til the end of my warranty. Any other TSBs I should know about?????? Don't get me wrong, I love my Tacoma but if it weren't for this website the dealer would have played dumb about most of this. Thanks to all.

There is a TSB for a noticeable vibration driving at a constant speed between 14 -24 mph. They replace the (I think) rear tranny mount for a fix. It's on the list of current TSBs.

I just got the TSB done on my 08 TRD Sport DC Long bed, at Wilsonville Toyota in Oregon, i took it to the dealer yesterday to inquire about the TSB and they told me that they would have to re-create the bottoming out so i made an appointment for this morning i put 3 coolers and filled them with water and dropped it off at 7am i called at 3pm to check and see what was going on and they said that they were replacing the leaf springs they called me at 5ish and said it was done...no hassle and turned out good! I was dreading the call saying that they couldnt re-create the bottoming out, i was trying to figure out what i was going to say, i did have a back up plan, i know a guy pretty good who knows the owner of that specific dealership...but all turned out good!

Good. Be sure to examine the new springs to confirm that they installed the "4 leaf" packs. There have been incidents where they install new 3 leaf springs.

Good advice. After mine was done, I crawled up under the truck and looked at the leaf springs and verified the part numbers on the tsb versus what was on the truck and thankfully, it all matched.
