I used flitz paste on a dremel polishing wheel on speed 1/10 and never let the parts get hotter than lukewarm.

I ordered some parts from glockstore.com. A new connector bar, trigger spring and a stainless guide rod. I love my glock so far and I am looking forward to starting to shoot IDPA.

at this point, i would send my new fire arm to a glock armorer or a good gunsmith seeing as most if not all are trained in glocks. they can probably fix it for you so you don't have any catastrophic failures or accidental discharges.

just buy the parts that you messed up and install yourself. if your gunsmith is replacing all those parts for $15 he is probably giving you previously used parts that he got for free off of another customer's gun. i only put OEM Glock parts into my gun, especially if you are going to use it for HD. the only reason i would use aftermarket parts is if i'm making a competition gun.

    Glock Firing Pin Safety $4 p/n - SP00084 no tax, free s/h
    Glock Firing Pin p/n - SP00049 $48 no tax, free s/h
Glock 3-1/2 lb Trigger Connector $15 sorry i can't find your a p/n but it fits all models
    Glock Trigger Bar $18 p/n - SP02303

None of those. It was the new twist lock one. I'll try to find the number as well as take pics of the parts later.

I didn't mess anything up at all. I just had the trigger spring in the wrong orientation.

to the poster that said smith and wesson are better than glock..

If i recall right SW got sued by glock over design thievery on their own polymer lineup of pistols ..

Glocks are quality handguns at a very cheap price..

I can only recall a handful of jams across many thousands of rounds through the glock platform,

if he takes it to a certified Glock armorer any non-OEM or modified parts will be replaced if he wants said Glock armorer to work on his gun

    back to bone stock.
day one. i cleaned the original shipping grease from my G21 and put more than 1000 rounds thru it. all in one afternoon. my ammo was in a galvanized bucket. random ammo. it never jammed once. i got hit in the head by the occasional brass..but it never jammed. as fast as i could load my magazines..i was shooting it. it got very very warm. i finished the bucket and let the SWAT armorer clean it for me. it was fun. i admit. i am more accurate with my sig 226 in 9mm. but i think it is a recoil issue for me.

The Sigma for was horrible, accuracy out of the box sucked. Felt a lot heavier the the Glock. Also to the person with the G21. Getting brass to the face is not a normal condition, and Glock will fix the issue, they have an updated extractor to fix the issue.

I met a guy with a 19 that had 14,000 rounds through it and had never been cleaned or oiled, never had a single failure to feed, fire, or eject.

I carry a 23 with the 8lb connector (in order to be approved by my agency). I can't make the thing malfunction. I also like how easy it is to detail strip. I am afraid to tear my 1911 all the way down but the glock is cake, it only has 35 or 36 parts. My dad is in the anti plastic gun category, yet he has an SR9 and two bersa thunders. He also hates that glocks have no external safety. I like their simplicity. I gave him a walk around of the gun last time I saw him and he is starting to convert I think. He was pretty impressed with the cutout at the rear of the mag well. Even if you don't like glocks you have to admit they are a thoughtful and simple design which everyone else is now emulating.

I just did the heat treatment to the backstrap of my 19 and removed the finger grooves. It felt terrible in my hand. Now it feels much less terrible. Still not as good as my XD, but much much better. Now I need to get rid of my XS sight set and replace it with some TFOs or something.

that guy is an idiot. he's lucky that barrel didn't blow up on him from all the fouling not to mention most of the springs are seriously fatigued at that high of round count.

this guy probably drives a car that has never had the oil changed in it too

Ok I'll put in my input. So I Installed the 3.5 connector, the 6lb trigger spring and the stainless guide rod. Ran 250 rounds through it with ZERO issues. I was shooting quarters at 10 yards.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
I was putting my glock through hell the first week i got it. 3,000 rounds in 3 months when i was stationed in WA i used to go to the bullz eye shooting range. I have dropped my glock(round in chamber) off a 15 foot drop up on MT Olympia and it did NOT discharge. If its good enough for LE, its good enough for me. I also love it because if you can use a vacuum, u can use a glock at point and shoot distance. Used with Hydroshockz, I trust it with my family's life

He was a dealer. I think he was just doing it for fun and personal satisfaction. I'd like to do the same thing, but I prefer to keep all mine spotless in case I do need to call on them. I would have a hard time doing that to something I paid for too.
