I put in a new battery today. I use top AND side terminals. I have my aux lighting (seen in my sig and avatar) connected to side terminals... And stereo amp to top post with oem battery cable.

When I connected the powerlines to side terminal, my aux lights.. At least some, as well as my green LEDs flashed and went out. I finished tightening and started the truck. It fired right up. I hit my green rocker to test green LEDs and they did not turn on... But light on green and orange switch are lit, but not full brightness. The orange switch is my behind satoshi hellas. They do not work either. Interesting enough... My headlights do not work. 3rd set of lights on blue switch work just fine... Hellas on bull bar.

I know it's a short.. I can't find where. The LEDs and satoshi Hellas work if I put them direct to the battery. It appears the relay for satoshi lights may have arched... As there's discoloration and I smell it. Even with ithat relay removed...mgreen LEDs and headlights are out.

High and low beams are out. I checked all aux fuses... Good. Right and left headlamp fuse is good. Fogs work... And I do have the fog light mod done. I have no ideas where the headlight relay is.

Any ideas? I'm going to replace the suspect bad relay tomorrow but I don't see how that plays into the headlights. I work very late tomorrow... So I need to try and fix at lunch. Driving with the bull bar Hellas will def get me some blue light attention from the law.

double check all your fuses. when i did the lighted 4x4 switch mod i blew a fuse in the process and lost all interior and brake lights. got the manual out and the fuse panel cover and went searching for the fuse. took me a couple trys to find the right one. hope you figure it out!

LEER Shell with dome lights operated with 3 way switches, aux backup lights with relay and 3 position switch, modified wiring to compass/temp display and clock to include switch that disables dimming function (poor man's DRL solution), Scan Gauge 2
Did you accidentally reverse polarity any of your connections, even briefly? Were the switches for the lights that flashed turned on at the time?

Headlight relay's are in the underhood fuse box. Hopefully you checked all the fuses in there and the ones in the interior box to the left of the steering column.

Haven't gotten out to it today... Although I'm sure nothing was reversed (almost impossible the way it I changed out the battery) The green LED's and Headlight switches were both on when the battery was reconnected. I will recheck all the fuses soon. If I don't find a blown one, my plan is to swap out all 3 AUX relays. At under $5 each... what the hell! I have confirmed all AUX lights will work if directly coonnected to the battery.
