Eye lids painted to match

It's not perfect yet, but its gettin close. I have had a good leader to follow.

Cant wait for my grill to get here. It will look so good with these lids next to it. It should flow all together nicely.

Bump for HomerTaco satoshi grills. If you want these then you need his grill to go with it.

I have one set of sleepers that have a minor defect in them from my last batch. I have posted a pic for everybody to see. The defect is in the fiber glass material in the form of it being a little thicker where it wraps around the head light into the grill. The other side has a small bubble in the fiber. I can do $70 shipped, if you can live with a defect then this is a great deal. These are painted in the 1E7 silver streak mica color. These are as complete as any other set I have sold, they will include the backing tape and instruction sheet. These are being sold as is.

You can see that it is slightly thicker at the edge. Not bad, just notiable if you look close





Sorry picture isn't clearier. But that little white blip at the top of the lid is the bubble. The photo looks like it is a different color, but it is all painted and clear coated the same color. A small inperfection.

 

How much would it be to repaint my angry eyelids? They have some pretty noticeable paint chips and are cracked?

 

The description you gave of the shape your lids are in (pretty poor), it would not be cost effective to spend the time required to strip off the old paint, fill cracks and sand smooth, primer, and repaint/clear your current lids. It would cost more to do that, then buying new replacements.

I emailed the vender this afternoon to see where they were at. Last report on Jan 4th was they were done and ready for shipment. I am expecting them this week. Sorry for such a delay guys.

I will keep everybody posted as soon as I get them.

 

So I finally got my retro done with eyelids bought from the first group
Over all very happy with the end product. Toyota Man has an awesome operation going here and the wait is a little long but the end product is to die for. I've gotten several complements on these and hope the same for those who have them and those who are getting them.

I talked with the vendor this morning, they are boxed up but haven't shipped out yet. I should have a tracking number soon from the conversation we had. This is taking forever, he said sorry, he just hasen't had this many to do at one time and it was a little beyond his ability. So in the future, we will have to keep to orders of 10. I am sorry it has taken so long guys.

On the bright side, we have developed two new items for everybodies enjoyment and he is shipping me demo's of them to share.

1. 2012 demo lids are coming for me to try on a 2012 truck. As soon as I get the pair, I will stop by the dealer ship and test fit them to see how they fit and look on the truck. I will take some pics and post them for everybody to see.

2. The second item is a lower eyelid that will cover the bump down that our lights have at the bottom close to the bumper. With the lower lid and the sleeper upper lid on it will give the appearance of Rectangular lights and be much more square, I am guessing it to look much more like the new 4runners lights.

I will post pics as soon as I get those in as well. He has to make a new mold for the lowers lids as well. So they may be in the next batch I order from him.
