well if it is dry out i will hit the truck trails and will also be able to lead a group since i am pretty well versed in the trails out there. if it rainy or has rained a whole bunch the week before i will prolly bring my atv. so for now i intend on bringing my truck only. (especially if i can complete my 4wd conversion in time!)

also anyone who'd be willing to give me a hand w/ my 4wd conversion will be paid in beer and food if i need the help!

Damn that blows. I hope something like that doesn't happen to me. I am planning on getting at least the front skid from ATO when he does the group buy in March but my goal would be to get em all. I am hoping a ton of people sign up cause his skids are bullet proof

yeah armor and know what your truck is capable of is key in some trails out there at durham town. then again you should consider that i have been through almost every trail out there in my prerunner. of course i stick to moderate trails and only a couple advanced trails i know i can traverse. just pay attention and dont get show your ass and you'll be fine.

im prolly gonna fabricate my own skids for my truck cause i have access to everything needed including the materials cause i get it at scrap price brand new pretty much!!!!

It doesn't take a genius to do it. just alot of patience and a little know how for stuff like skids. if ya get in to more complicated stuff that requires incredible strength then things can get confusing when deciding type of material, welder, welding rods and so on and so forth

i plan on building a rear bumper and maybe skids. that will be a year or so. i have to start buying the tools, but my dad and i enjoy doing that kind of thing so we're going to set it up in his garage. :)

Edit: also going to work on a bed rack. that'll probably be first because it's pretty simple.

Well about a month or so after durhamtown i was reversing up a hill in 4wd. It starts clunking pretty bad... throw it in 2wd and nothing. It only clunks in 4wd while backing up with a little resistance. Ive talked to one person who has heard of a truck doing this and he thought the chains inside the tcase might be stretched.

i dont know when it happened. what time are you talking about when i got high centered? i dont remember getting stuck :D

I was guessing it might have happened from the grand canyon when i was flooring it up that hill like 20 times before i finally made it up to the top. lol
