The fog light on anytime mod.

 

Oh okay. Yeah that's a sweet mod! Simple but different.

 

Yea I like it I wonder why it isn't just done that way. Most trucks I have seen are. Any other Tocoma mods you really like? I don't want to spend all my time modifying the truck but usefull mods are good.

 

Will the fog lights stay on when the headlights are on high beam?

 

If you do the mod? Yes, the fogs stay on with the high beams activated.

 

Yea they stay on during high beam use.

 

Thus the "anytime" in the mod description.

I should hope so. I'm the one that wrote it up. Maybe I need to explain "anytime" a little more. I thought I was pretty clear on how it works, but apparently not.

Hello everyone, first post here. First off, thanks tiger for throwing this thread together. This reminds me of the V-Rod forum I belong to. Tons of info and a lot of great people that like to help each other out.

I want to install my female cigarette adaptor for my XM under my center console. I have a place to ground it, but can anyone tell me where I can find a hot wire to tie into? It doesn't need to have constant power. I had the center console apart today and was afraid to mess anything up because I'm not the brightest when it comes to electricity. Any help is appreciated.

Hi: This is my first post. So here goes.
Here are a couple photos of my installation of $9.99 Harbor Freight Dual Air Horns. I did not need to drill any additional holes because I used existing holes.
Here's blurry a picture of the horn and compressor. My camera was accidentaly set on manual mode...

Here's a picture of the relay. It's mounted just behind the drivers headlight.

 

The sound is definitely loud. The dogs were in a panic when I was testing them out. The pitch is a little high for my taste though. But for the price, I am happy enough to keep it this way until I find something better.

How do you do the Cup holder LEDS mod? there was no write up on it?

 

In response to your question... Yes, I installed an LED light pod (this was an extra light pod from my motorcycle kit) in the center console/armrest. I tapped power off of the gear position light under the shifter (automatic). The light goes on when the parking lights are on. I plan to install a switch on the lid at a later date. I can take more pictures then. I also ran my iPod cable into the console. I notched a corner of the carpet panel and ran the cable through it.

 

These rectangular nuts fit in the upper left, right or forward tracks. They can be used to mount anything. They are 1.5" X 1" X .25" in size. Threaded with 1/4-20 in the center. The material in the pictures are aluminum (prototypes). I ended up making the final ones from steel bar stock picked up at Orchard supply. I scribed the length on the bar and simply cut it with a hack saw to 1.5" long pieces. Before I cut them to length I put the holes and tapped them. I also spray painted them black to prevent rust. I used them to mount my bike fork mounts. There are two used on each bike fork mount. You can also see I installed the Toyota D-Rings in the forward corner of the bed. I followed the the Toyota instructions in this case; they are mounted on the wheelwells not the floor. ​

 

Here's my install of a 2009 tailgate handle, Pioneer Avic-d3 and ND-BC2 camera. I copied this idea from another member (camsbored).
So, I plan to not go into detail here and just show you the end result. Thanks for the ideas!
