Setting for 5100 + OME 884

I have them set at the 1.75. I believe my question is what is the ideal setting that everyone has?

set the 5100 at 0? or the highest notch.?

I read in the other thread ideal is 0 since the OME884 compensate ? please help im taking them apart wed morning to reset it. i'll take a pic later.

I'm adding a AAL Fabtech 220 in the rear. while im doing the resetting the front.

I do not have rear 5100's yet I have them coming in soon .

 

i can't help with the 884's but i have mine 5100's set on .85 with eibach springs w/ toytec AAL and i think it sits pretty damn level

 

5100's and Old man emu 884 coils should only be set at the lowest setting which is 0. The lowest ring setting!

Setting them at 1.75 preloads the 884 coil to much and you could cause serious damage to suspension componets.

 

You can set the 5100s at .85 with 884s without doing any damage although you're better off just getting 885s.

 

so general opinion is leaning towards resetting it to 0 and letting the OME884 due its work. Im planning on adding a fabtech 202 aal to the rear with stock bilstein rear shocks.

 

You can set the 884's at the .85 setting, they are shorter than the other OME coils so they won't do any damage by doing this. Ideally though, if you want the extra lift, you should just get the 885 coils since they have the same spring rate but are taller. This would also give you a better ride since you won't be preloading the coil as you would be with 884's at .85.

 

well i have the 884's already and i don't think the wifey is gonna let me get the 885 anytime soon.

Oh i have a aal ft202 already just havne't installed it. was gonna try and order the rear 5100 from someone.... do you guys carry?

i have the 885's with 5100's and am headed in on friday to have them bumped to the first notch .85. i called downsouth and they said it shouldnt be a problem...fyi

 

thread revival...so do you guys sit level w/o an AAL with the OME 884 or 885 coils? I want coils to replace the use of the 5100's to lift, but the Eibachs are back ordered so i'm thinkin OME...

 

884's will give you around 2" of lift on a double cab, 885's will put you around 2.5". You'd probably be a lot closer to level with 884's if not a tad nose high depending on whether or not you have TSB springs or not.

i also see u are using tc uca. does that provide any additional lift? i have 5100s on stock springs at 1.75. i'd like just a little bit more lift, like .5 inch.

 

If possible really curious what your measurment from center hub to fender is... Any issues?
