    I think the 'security' of the farm is all in their heads. I see a big zombie trojan horse when it comes back (I don't read the comics) and that'll be the real reason the group leaves, possibly with some of the farmers.

    I don't think they need to concentrate on city life. Even from the standpoint of being a fictional show about zombies, granted, I don't think it would jive with the audience that they would venture back into the cities understanding how hostile they are. It would seem somewhat unbelieveable (yes, I know...like zombies are believeable).

    But I do hope they encounter/introduce a zombie swarm, and if you've read any zombie fiction, you know what I am talking about. Large herds of zombies, composed of thousands, that march through the landscape like Amazonian army ants. Now that would be one of those 'OH SHIT" moments.

    In most zombie lore/fiction, the zombies tend to leave the cityscapes eventually once there is no food, and thus, wonder the countryside in large packs, one zombie following the noise of another zombie, and so on.
