window and door question

So the other day in the wind, my drivers door was blown open and pulled from my grip.

The first thing I noticed was as I closed it there was a small amount of binding, I couldn't find anything that was hitting.

By the next day the binding as it was almost closed was worse, still no visual signs of anything rubbing.

Then to top it off the power window as it was going down in auto mode seemed to slow down and bind up, about halfway down. It did go all the way down tho b/4 I could stop it. I then put it up and same thing, slowed down halfway up and then closed normally.

Any ideas what it may be?

OK, so I took it all apart yesterday. It appears that the detente slider that the door is guided on was stretched to it's limit and was hitting the window rail.

Removed the detente and reformed it and also the lower window rail and straightened the same. Result, operation normal.

Lesson learned, keep a firm grip on door when there are gale force winds and you are opening it and also leave window up because had it been down after it was stretched it would've broke the glass.
