K&N air filter Weathertech floor mats to be continued...
    Hello all-
First time poster and certainly enjoying the atmosphere and help abundant in this forum!

My question is: I have a 2005 DBL CAB sport automatic...with regards to the "hooks" in the drivers side footwell, do I actually need the hooks themselves to be in place or just the grommets (aka the metal circles that hte hooks once went in)?
I ask because I want to say that I remember having hooks there at one time, however, now only the grommets remain...Would just those grommets hold a weathertech floor mat in place? I am assuming that the weathertech mats don't have integral hooks so the answer would be no?

Sorry for the length, just want to be clear before I spend..

Did look at several other threads regarding the mats, etc and couldnt find a definitive picture that answered question, and also went on the virtual tour at weathertech.com to no avail...

    Thanks guys

You don't need the hooks. The grommets alone won't do anything. I think you can make the hooks fit if you want...but they aren't a big deal either way.

I have the hooks along with the W/T mats.
The W/T's are a PITA to get out (for washing) with the hooks through them.

There is enough shape built into the W/T's where they should "nest" just fine without hooks.
Get plastic plugs at the hardware store if your worried about the holes.
Or just get the hooks at the Toyota store.

Awesome- thank you all very much.....

I am looking at these ones:
    http://www.keenzo.com/showproduct.asp?z=1&id=4536164

Seem a little cheaper than the ones at wt.com and even EBAY....
Hopefully I am not getting burned

Verify the part # at Weathertech.
Could be that the black doesn't sell as well as grey.

Got them last night (that was fast...?)
And my god what a difference, these things are fantastic...

No hooks came with it but as the one fellow said they do fit snugly prob due to the whole "digi-fit" principle...

Since there are still holes where the hooks would have gone, will prob just throw some duct tape on the bottom to fully prevent debris from burrowing in there...could foresee that being a problem as barely noticable dirt could get worked in the floor over time...

    All in all VERY happy

Thanks for all the advice, without it wouldnt have gotten them!

Or fill them with with a flexible adhesive caulk, to make a "plug"?
