Starting the HID retrofit today. Already looking at ways to secure the CCFL ring inside the shroud housing. LOL I will figure it out.

So if I was to do a write up would I place it in the lighting, 2nd Generation, or 5 lug forum? Part of me says there are enough write ups and just let it go and not do one.

 

out of Florida this afternoon. Job interview at 1:00 tomorrow in Connecticut, and then maybe back to Florida and back to Connecticut.

 

Holy Smokes...that's a lot of travelling.

 

I didn't plan it that way, but I've been looking for a job while I'm in Florida and the opportunity came up. I'm in a position (no income) where I have to interview for anything that comes up. Jobs in Connecticut in my field are very scarce right now.

Yes that is the intent.

I did a test fit and there are no clearance issues with the CCFL, shroud, FX-R projector, and the alignment rings. My real issue is securing the CCFL so it does not move around.

I believe I have two solutions.
1. Drill holes in the side of shroud and secure with fishing line.
2. Use a high temp silcone seal to secure the CCFL to the shroud.

 

We should bring her some flowers, chocolate and wine.
