I'm scheduled for a physical fitness test for the Colorado State Patrol on Feb 20th, 3 minute step test warm up and 1 minute sit ups, 1 minute push ups.

99th percentile is 55+ sit ups in one minute, which I can do. Sadly, I need a way to work my push ups up to 60+ in a minute. I can do 60 flat out no stop untimed, but not in a minute, any ideas?

You'll be fine. Knock em out at a steady pace that way you don't burn out super fast.

You use a weighted vest or have chains draped over your back?

well reached my weight loss goal... 35 lbs in 7 months. Lost the last 8 lbs (in 14 days) thanks to the flu. I weigh 150 lbs and I'm 5'7.5"

Now it is time to add muscle. I want to add about 10 to 15 lbs of muscle in the next 3-4 months. Any suggestions... I'm cutting back my running from 5 days a week to 2 days a week and I'm lifting A LOT more now. I want to gain that 10 -15 lbs of muscle without adding much fat. It is tough to get a lot of lean meat out here so I've added in nasty protein shakes to make up the difference...

On the lifting, remember ur CNS needs time to recover so more isn't always better. 4-5 of lifting max, IMO.

Why are u running? Just do some HIT cardio a few times a week which will burn more fat quicker than running. Ask Aaron, I only run of there's a bear behind me (or the cops. I can say this because he's a copper :)

How's ur diet? What u lost from the flu you will quickly gain back as most is water weight I'm sure. Just eat smart, eat every few hours and train hard and you'll be fine.

Yes, if you don't keep up with the running, your PT scores go down. That's almost all that the SF guys do from what I've seen and heard.

Biggest key is making sure you are getting at LEAST 1g of protein per lb of body weight!
Without enough protein you can work out for years and gain nothing lol

I would shoot for about 1.5g since you are fairly light
