Wow it does look pretty bad in the rain... Thank god I have MTs and 4x4.. But I'm still hoping for no rain so I don't have to wash all the mud off :/

My girl Crissy Russo at Fox news San Diego... she's batting 1000 with forecast & trail runs, but she says light rain/no snow unless an upper level low pressure decides to drop

No worries Jen, its just sloppy in a few spots, its prerunner friendly & def no worries for 4x.....;)

He was the only one who had that problem. He was anxious and couldn't wait for us to guide him over the rut. The rest of us straddled it and did fine. Was a blast being snowed on at the same time.

Dude, shes my hero, I met her at a taco shop down in Chula Vista when me and an electrician went to lunch it was a thursday & we had a run planned for that saturday. All the other weather people from channel 8 all the way to that old irritating bastard (no , not me) John Coleman, they alll said no rain , storm was breaking up heading east, blaa, blaa & I asked her about saturdays forcast & she said "Oh yeah, its going to rain, where's your truck club going ? Pine Valley ? Oh you're getting snow then, probably about noon. "

At about 10 mins. of noon, it started to snow,, heavy.....;)

Wow, that's some serious forecasting... My .02 is that these guys never really know how it is going to be until maybe the day before. Looking at weather.com it said yesterday that Pine Valley would have a 20% chance of rain on Sat and Sun, then this morning it said that Sat is now a 60% chance of rain and that we may get sun on Sunday.... So at this point, I'd go prepared for everything from sun to snow. (Regardless, I'm from San Diego and I'll still be wearing shorts and a T-shirt.)

That's awesome. I'm kind of hoping for snow just to make things interesting as the trail is super easy otherwise.
