its the same as another hornady ammo but has a green tip in the end instead of the other color they use on the standard ammo

Meh. Just a marketing gimmick. These rounds are a little more creative...

I know the zombie max pistol ammo is basically their critical defense
ammo. The rounds for the .308 the bullet design reflects a v-max but they dont have any v-max in that grain. Looked at several others and they didnt match the z-max as close as the v-max did. If they really are designed fter the v-max and at 168gr. This thing would be devastating on coyotes. So has anyone actually fired any of the critical defense or zombie max pistol ammo or rifle ammo?

i picked up some z max ammo, the .223. havent shot it. I think im just gonna keep it for nostalgia, then when i have kids i can show it to them and convince them there was a human/zombie war of 2020, World War Z.

kinda expensive ammo, $20 for 20 rounds.

I've got some in .45 and .223. It's all the same imo, or very similar to Hornady's TAP, or Critical Defense. I've shot both. Shoots fine I guess for $.75-$1.25/rd ammo. I've got some of the Zombie max, and TAP stacked in a mag for each of my guns. You're paying for the pretty awesome packaging, and a green ballistic tip.

haha, zombie max, that is funny. Another ploy to get you to spend your cash. I'm a loader, so i will get the BC's on this z-max bullet and let you all know.

.224cal .255 BC, not too bad, but it will start to yaw out to the 500 yard mark for sure.
$.18 each not too bad, may have to give them a try in the AR.

168 gr? Almost surely an A-max, not a V-max. Same polymer tip but built for penetration and controlled expansion. Would be overkill on 'yotes but would do the job for sure. Should work great for deer, bear, goats, etc.
