Thinking about selling my old minimoto race bike. I raced this bike when I was 16 and it has A LOT of mods...totaled literally in the thousands.

    Stock it is a DRZ-125L

A few mods I can name:

KX 85 forks and stiffer springs
    CR 85 resi shock
150 big bore kit (Wiseco Piston)
    Hotcam
    26mm Mikuni Carb
    Oversized valves
    Head port and polish
    Lightened flywheel
    BBR skid
    BBR rims
    Yoshimura Exhaust (Procircuit pipe Pictured)
Protaper triple trees and Fat bars
    Shorty levers
    Michelin Starcross Tires
Frame is Gusseted and strengthened in weak areas.

This thing is SUPER quick compared to a stock drz125. Setup for a 160-180lbs rider.

Great as a toy for an adult or a kid's bike.
    Runs like a top!

I just dont ride it anymore cuz I am a big fatass now

    asking $1700 OBO Local only

IIRC 03-current KX and RM 85 forks/triple trees fit. Some RM/KX 100 forks fit...but I am not sure on those.

You use the DRZ rim/hub and disk and front brake (if its the L version)

And you need the KX front axle.

If its the little wheel (non-L) you have to use the entire KX/RM front end). (you can also use the entire KX/RM front end on the "L" but thats more $$. You get dual piston brakes if you do.

The triple trees bolt right into the DRZ's frame, all you need to do is get spacers for the front brake caliper to make it fit (if you use the DRZ caliper) and re-use the DRZ front axle spacers. And either get an RM/KX front fender or mod the stock DRZ fender.

Then you are done....I'm sure there are some details I forgot...as I did the conversion 5 years ago when I was 16.

The CR85 shock and the KX forks made this little bike a DREAM to ride.

I have a thread on thumpertalk forums for my conversion...I will dig it up later.

I have a project that's righ up your allie

    2 Honda fl250 odyssey's

One runs but not good, needs some TLC. Think it's the old points system

Other one needs new crank seals, ran great but started running really lean, so I did compression tests...... Top end is good, bottom end came up short....... After some visual inspection, I found a bad crank seal on clutch side....... New seals, bearings and gaskets on eBay for $100 I even have the tool to pull the flywheel.

Collectively I value them at $2k or more......as is.

A little $ and some DIY labor, and you've got two running carts, each worth in excess of $1500

The one that needs seals......is nearly 100% OEM original All plastics and everything ..... Very hard to find one in this condition....... It was garage kept for last 30 years !!! I'm the second owner of it.....:D

Lmk. I will even deliver them to you. :)

I was talking with a buddy about your odysseys and he seemed interested.

And thanks. I have a few family friends that may want it for their kid...so hopefully I can get it sold.
