This is the original Sig 556 (SIG556006), before their models were all changed to mimic the Sig 550 series. It has a 5-position collapsible stock, ambidextrous safety, and a fantastic 2-stage trigger. The Sig 556 operates with a long-stroke gas-piston. The top of the upper receiver, bottom of the handguard, and forward left/right sections of the handguard all have picatinny rails for mounting accessories. I replaced the fixed front sight with a Midwest Industries folding front sight that is at AR height. You can add any AR rear sight to the rail. It accepts AR magazines and comes with one 30rd Sig magazine.

This rifle is in excellent condition. It has less than 250rds through it and functions flawlessly. Comes with original box and papers. I’ve built up an AR that I am happy with and don’t need two rifles that serve similar functions.

Its not a Samson rail. The forend is the OEM Sig polymer one. It has a long lower rail that runs almost the full length of the forearm. There are also two shorter rails on the left and right sides of the forearm for light/laster setups.
