Were you down in timber? The Cape is almost to Arkansas where it turns into timber hunting mostly (I've heard). Around here (central MO) we hunt managed & levied fields of flooded corn mostly.

I finally got my Pintail Sprig Friday! Now only need a cinnamon teal to finish off every species we get in the central fly way.

If your anywhere near centex hit me up. I have tons of hunting spots that hold different species of birds. Been slaughtering cans this year.

Brought 7 other guys out a few weeks ago and we shot 44 in one morning. Shot 23 last weekend between 4 people.

Personally I don't like them. Their big, hideous, stupid, and fly slow.

My favorites to shoot are widgeon, greenwing, and gadwall. They are entertaining.

I've been toying with opening a "guide" service part time but I'm just afraid id take somebody out and get skunked. I don't think I could accept money from someone unless limits were shot all around and it was a great hunt! I take people all the time anyways, the more people the more retrieves my dog gets!!

well i dont know where centax is but im glad to hear you are having a good season, the only reason i say that i want a canvasback is because it would mean that we killed almost every species this year....

my favorites are also GW, BW, mallards and grays....dont get to many widgeon but i got that one mounted bc it was in such good condition

keep up the good work and remeber...

    Centex= central Texas.

That was my first ever pintail sprig. It and a monster green head are both at the taxidermist already. I want to eventually have a mount of every central fly way species.

Went up towards north MS this past weekend and saw a ton of mallards. It was like looking at a million dollars. I also got a new boat today. 14ft, 52in beam, with a 25hp evinrude from my grandpa. Id say its been a great weekend!

Trust me its a constant stresser being a guide and wondering of you are going to get skunked.it happens. The only thing you can do is tell your clients that it can happen and offer a 50% money back if it happens.hunting is hunting and sometimes your luck goes on vacation. If they are ok with that then take them.if they don't like it then find someone else who wants to go. there are plenty of people who will pay just to get out

I hunt duck and goose in Delaware. The warm weather this winter has not helped us at all so here are pics from last year.

Where you located in TX bro?

Haha we got similar screen names.

I literally didn't pull my trigger once during the first split but we have been hammering the second. My individual total is at 103 and our group is around 400 ish.

yeah we sure do have similar names. I'm down in Pearland did most of the hunting out in Galveston West Bay. yeah I didnt get to hunt the early season cause of school, but was able to hunt alot durning the December season. I wanna say I shot about 50 ducks this year and had about 150 in our group. So it wasnt a bad first season, def had a lot of fun.

I have some buds that hunt down there. Sounds like it would be fun to see that many birds. But we can still only pop 6 so it could be frustrating..

I used to hunt every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, when I was in college. And a lot of Mondays. Now I have to go on my days off... Enjoy it!
