    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
    this...

it's far more expensive to buy a whole new truck than to make you current truck more comfortable... unless you're just using this as an excuse to go into a Chebby..

If you like the Tacoma, why not look into an access cab or double cab? It sounds like you're looking for an excuse to get back into a Chevy and if that's the case, I agree with the posters above, you put this in the wrong forum...

For tighter budgets... add factory cruise, or access cab base + add factory cruise.

I tell ya what it is 110% easier to drive long trips with the cruise now that I installed it. The toyota pedal isn't bad, it's just a touch too heavy for the muscles after a half hour.

Short term fix, do you have steel toed boots? It actually helps a bit.

    LOL.

And yes, cruise control is easy to install yourself (and I'm challenged when it comes to this sort of thing). Less than $150 total for parts even with MT.

if its a long trip why are you shifting so much? you drive through towns the whole way? and i didnt know a bigger truck was better on gas.

EDIT: or are you saying its just difficult for you to press the gas pedal

I drive my 96 reg cab 5 speed 4x4 tacoma two hours away to my school through curvy mountain roads with mud tires. I also come home every weekend to see my girlfriend. My springs are worn out and it rides like a Radio Flyer...and I LOVE MY TRUCK. I'd never even consider getting something else. Maybe I just have more tolerance for the rougher ride though.

Unless there is some sort of medical issue, I'm confused too. It's drive by wire for god's sake. How can it be tiring to use the gas pedal? Just the weight of your foot/shoe without pushing should be cruise control a to certain degree. I have never driven anything where the gas pedal gives you calf cramps - clutch pedal on a few way back in the day maybe, but not gas pedals.

is it a taco thing? i have a pickup and dont have that problem...

my leg would get tired when i first started driving, like learners permit day. then i learned to rest my heel on the floor board....maybe its a good thing to strengthen your calves.
