For the price of the summit you could get an Associated SC8e and several LiPo packs and go reeeeeel fast.

I've already got a low-budget nitro plane, I need to rebuild it and get my thumbs used to flying. Might look into an intermediate level heli, then. Too damn cold for that shit now, though.

If it's in good condition it's worth quite a bit even if you're not into R/C. What would the monetary value of these lights be?

Hate to break it to ya, but that thing might cost about 2000, probably at most. He might have some ridiculous servos in it, but I can't see it going over 3 grand, not a chance. Biggest 700 size scorpion motor, last time I checked puts out around 5 HP. Tim Jones has a reallly powerful beast that I think is around 9HP, saw his heli in person, didn't know what I was looking at until later on. If the heli had 20HP, it would break apart in the air, no way the gears would hold up. I had to upgrade my main gear on my 600 because they strip, I'm only runnin a 3000 watt motor. Tareq is an amazing pilot. Bert Kammerer impresses me just as much. I got a chance to meet Jason Krause (designed many of the Trex helis) and Justin Chi awhile back, amazing pilots. Frank Columbia is one of the lesser known that also is pretty amazing.

If you can get 370 for your lights, sell them and buy something. $700.00 sounds like a lot to me, I guess it depends on what type of radio/servos it has. I wouldn't trade, but that's me.

just because he has $700 into, doesn't make it worth that. R/Cs depreciate really fast

If you are thinking about trading for it, make sure YOU are able to thoroughly to look it over and make sure noting is broken and the wheels move freely and the engine turns over
