    Your needs may vary but I've always liked the look of the in bed spare tire carrier or on bed rack. Keeps the truck smaller going threw small trails. Plus I'm a fan of the look.

    I was going to make one since the spare takes up almost half the bed, but i want to have a tonneau cover for tools since its my DD... tonneau covers and the bed racks dont work together...another idea I had was to make a basket for my roof rack and put it up there

    If you put it up top your raising your center of gravity which isn't good. Tiregate is an option but expensive and may not secure your bed enough for you.

    Maybe a flat bed mount will work. You can keep the spare out except for when wheeling. Although you wouldn't have a spare during daily driving.

    Tiregate defies the point of a tonneau cover so I would rather go bed rack vs a Tiregate... And with my luck I'm gonna need that spare even on a regular drive

    Yea see im getting a full bed rack/roof rack. gonna build it. So having the spare on a tire gate would be best for me. Easy to access and leaves the bed more open for gear. Im going for a trail/expo rig so yea. And i kinda dig the look too :cool: Granted it looks a bit odd with a 33x12.5 on the back of our trucks..but with the bed rack and a RTT it should balance out nice i think..

    I really hope Tim can do it. I know eric does..

    Put some mesh in to cover the winch holes for now. Used 3M Command picture hanging strips so they should remove clean if/when I get a winch. We'll see how well that holds up.

    Not to be a punk, but seeing your bumper in black makes me glad I chose the color I did. I have the same color truck and am planning on getting black wheels. I don't know, to me it just looks like too much black. Maybe it's the lighting though.

    I got my skid plate mounted up this morning. I have Skid Row skid plates and I just had to bend the front side back a little bit to get it to go up behind the bumper.

    I'm very happy with my skid row skids for what it's worth. And I could show you a nice dent in mine that would make you second guess keeping the diff drop in. I have heard that you can do it with the skid row by using washers, but this dent goes in a good 1/8" or so right at the diff mount. If there was only a washers width between the skid and diff mount I could have been looking at one very expensive repair. Torn CV boots are cheap and relatively easy to fix.
