morning all: OK! snows here, tested the tacoma, about the same as the "95", the ABS is a little different, but can put up with it. one thing I have to do is get intermitted wipers, sort of miss them.

glad more new "old" blood is finding this thread, more knowledge to tap into. sort of like the "table of knowledge" at the local coffee shop. :D
greetings, and  if you'r just passing through.

hi sue:  yea, quick and easy? think one of us posted that they did this mod. just got to make the time to do it.

gotta think about that quick and easy part. It just seems that almost everything that should be Q&E turns into not so quick and easy. like the carbs. 2 for 2, the boat title fee, the HCTC I talked about, the state tax return last yr., when the broker transfered my IRA, by mistake, the new roof, that only lasted 12 1/2 yrs., the broken wheel stud, from the installer overtorqueing it, when the coalman told me to let go of the chute, and when he put it down on the roof the body shifted and tore up the brand new roof on the small garage, defective pushrods for the "66", etc.,etc! just crazy that so many things need to be straightened out. no wonder my icon of choice is-:goingcrazy:

Sorry to chuckle a bit when my Southern Tacoma Brothers "wish it would snow"! Up here in Erie PA, right on Lake Erie its the other way around, "God, I hope it doesn't snow again"! This winter has been pretty mild and snowless, but we usually get over a 100" every winter. Snow comes as early as October and as late as April. The best vehicle I had was an '03 4Runner which I had to drive 35 miles, one way, to work in. I could tell you about some pretty fun drives to work and back! Will be expecting my new Tacoma in about a week. Oh, hope it snows for YOU!

Welcome to Jim and Alan!! Great bunch of folks around here!! Glad to have you join in.

We've been pretty lucky this year, Paul. But, you always have much more sonw on that side of the State than we do. We ended up with about 6" all together. Stopped now and I finished plowing our place and my in-laws. Relaxation time!!

Hi Mark...heard we're supposed to hit close to 60' on Monday:confused:, Mother Nature can't make up her mind...winter:confused:, spring:confused:, winter:confused:,summer:confused:, who knows whats next...Ken

Ok, well quick and easy for some.... When I do a project and think it will take me 4 hours, well, I'll be lucky to get it done in 8

Although doing the 30k maintenance went pretty smoothly, once I got the darn diff plugs loosened. I planned for all afternoon and was done in probably 2 hours... maybe the pictorial directions helped ;)

Well up here in Maine we run on snow it's been so bad I have only put maybe 15 miles on the snow machine. I retired in Nov and really want to play! I drag a good 5 miles of cross country trails and today is the first day we have had enough snow to go skiing (and of course it's 15 below). I feel sorry for the ski slopes and every one involved in snowmobiling. You are right about the mowing usually I cut in Sept then it grows just enough for the deer and is covered with snow by Christmas but shoot I could have mowed again Christmas time.

Mornin' 6  Should you hear back from the committee (right term?:notsure:) this week?
I don't miss the extreme temp changes of the central east coast. And I really don't like the cold and rain...much rather have snow. Anything over 28F gets messy up here.

This thread is becoming a regular stop for me...it's a sleep cycle thing.
Hope ya'll don't mind ... never know when a "youngster" might pick up some wisdom.

Have a great day folks! :)
