Haha, after experiencing the winter awesomness of Duratracs on the snow/ice, and hearing Jon's horror stories of driving with KM2's on the ice, I wouldn't run KM2's anytime between October-May. I'm sure they're ok in the snow, but NO WAY on ice, or snowy roads at highway speeds.

They don't do much plowing here in Laramie. And it would suck to hit a patch of ice here or on the highway, and cause some injuries/damage. I know that's kinda 'worst case scenario' but I'd rather play it safe and put down some cash for tires that were designed for icy roads.

The treadwear has been great. I've been religious about the tire pressure and like I said, I put 13,000 miles on them and the wear was hardly noticeable. I'd say 50-60k + miles out of them EASILY. Our trucks are a bit lighter than some others so that helps.

I ran my 35 KM2's on my 07 about 25k miles and they were a good 1/2 tread still. On my 03, it came with the KM2's at about 75-80%, and I've put on over 16k miles on and they're a good 1/2 tread.

    That's pretty f%#$ing deep! How'd your 35" KM2s do?

ya when I walked over to take that pic, I was knee deep standing in it. The drivers side of that drift was a little deeper than the passenger side too.
The KM2's do ok in powder, you've just got to air down a lot. I was at about 10psi. Started by airing to 15 and kept spinning everywhere, so went down more and then they start to do pretty good.

That was probably my mistake then, when I did some snow wheeling with the KM2s. IIRC, I only aired down to somewhere in the 15-20 psi range. Would just spin like you mentioned.

Yeah, it was the same with the 35KM2's on my 07. I had to go down to about 8-10psi to get around good in the powder. Anything more and I'd get left behind. All.on.black's 35" MTR kevlar's did better at 12-14psi, then my KM2's at 8 when we went out wheelin. The KM2's will do ok, but there are definitely better snow tires out there.

I haven't heard much of anything from people who run Kevlars. I'll be going to 35" MT/R Kevlars by this spring, so that makes me feel pretty good about it. :D
