cant sleep so im watching this show on animal planet about finding bigfoot. theyre in georgia so thats what initially caught my attention. its funny how they think every noise is a bigfoot or sasquatch whatever u choose to call it. the only reason i dont completely write off bigfoot as a myth is all the supposive ancient native american stories and similar descriptions of the animal.

has anyone here ever done anything similar as far as "searching" for bigfoot? im still skeptical about all this, so itd be interesting to go with them and see their evidence and listen to the bumps in the night they interpret as bigfoot.

lets see where this thread goes

I believe the chances of them existing are so small. We would have found carcasses, skeletons, etc. of them, with all the hunting in the areas that they are "spotted". I'm not telling anyone that they didn't see what they saw, I just think we would have found substantial evidence. I mean, our scientists have discovered animals the size of a needle tip in the depths of the ocean, surely they would have found dead bigfoot skeletons, etc.

I have no reason to believe one way or the other, so unless someone can prove that one does NOT exist, I will continue to believe that there is a very real possibility that one DOES exist.

I wouldn't mind seeing one, might be a fun experience and a good story to tell. Scary as hell....but good story...

thats what i was thinking too. from what i've read, some think they are similar to humans and mourn and bury their dead. not saying i believe it, but it could be a theory especially if theyre a "missing link"

Haha dude I'm from Hoopa, just found this thread randomly searching for "Hoopa" lol. The finding bigfoot crew came through not long ago and did a episode here. I was on there a couple times in the background during the meeting thing lol. My uncle was featured on there too, did a re-enactment at his house. It's on animal planet from time to time.

I have never seen one. A lot of locals claim to have seen them, a lot of my friends and family have too. I'll let you know if I run into one lol.

I have acted like bigfoot before for that very reason scaring the shit out of people. I have a giant reddish brown monkey suit I used for halloween one year I was going to throw away. my friends and I got together and thought id be funny to dress up as bigfoot. with a little bit of altering we used a ratty brown bear hide and some bigfoot shoes we ordered of the internet. we change the monkey face out for a creepy halloween mask and added some hair to it. we then bought some oversized rubber hand gloves and covered the backs of them in hair as well. My friend is already 6ft7 so we added a foam ball cut in half to the top of the mask. it gave the head a dome like shape. the big foot shoes had big platforms in them to already make you taller. Between the two added parts my friend stood at 9ft 1 inch. We took the suit and used it on many occasions in the mountains to scare the shit out of people. Needless to day it worked. We took it down by a water hole a guy had a tree stand set up on. I knew when he would be going to it so we planned out a day. he had trail cameras set up so we tripped his camera and got pictures of ”bigfoot”. We waited for him to come and check the camera. As soon as we could tell he checked the camera my friend slowly came out of the trees at a distance. when the guy finally saw him. I swear he shit his pants where he stood. his eyes went huge and he started hyperventilating stumbled backwards fell on his ass stood up and ran faster than I've seen anyone run in my life while huffing out scared noises. He left his pack and everything. We did this on many occasions until my friend was shot at with a pistol. then we decided to retire bigfoot

Would have been pretty funny if the guy took a shot at you too. Shit like that happens when people joke around like that.

Edit. Just read the last sentence. Good thing you didn't get hurt but gotta be careful when making people think their life is in danger, or encounter someone who wants fame for taking down Bigfoot.
