you can go on rockauto.com and get a grille unpainted and have a shop color match, or find color match paint and do it yourself...painting and preping the chrome is a bitch i hear...

that's what i did, planning to eventually color matching it, but i kept the black paint on it because i got lazy and it looked alright with just the black

So I have been considering two options for the grill.
    1. Buying color matched paint from paintscratch.com
    2. Buying a color matched (so I think) from partsgeek.com (http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/2007/toyota/tacoma/body_mechanical_-ar-_trim/grille_assembly.html)

I say so I think because it stats that it is color matched 209 and that is the color of my paint but I have read some threads about it not being right. The threads dont have much info though. The cost would be very similar between buying paint or buying the cheap grill.

What's the cost of the color matched grill? I know Mike plastic dipped his and it seems to have held up pretty good.

    $170 - $250 is for most places
parts geeke has a black 209 paint for $33.94, chrome for $51.94 or GREY/BLACK for 57.94. The most expensive is the only one that says its for a SR5. Not sure if the cheapest will work but it says it is the color I need. Sorry no blue on there.
Debating if I should chance it and be out 33 if it doesn't work or just buy the paint and do it myself.
I guess the other option is taking it somewhere to get it painted.

So if everything goes to plan, after this year I won't take any classes in Denver until spring of 2013.

I'm trying to study abroad in New Zealand August-December, and then head to Patagonia from January-Mid feb.

The patagonia program is sick because we don't take classes, we just backpack around to research centers or small villages.

Lets just hope I turn in my applications on time...
