WTF Corvette... Race?

You read that right. Earlier this evening a new Corvette tried to race me on the highway. I was driving and passed a few cars and noticed a nice new red Corvette behind me passing cars and switching lanes at the exact same pace as myself. I don't think much of it and get in the center lane. He pulls up next to me starts launchin a little bit yet stayin even with me, like he wants to race. I confused just kinda look at him and he takes off. A few minutes later the same thing happens again with the same car but on a city street. I don't get it.

Oh yeah, I also ran into my girlfriends Mom on the road less than 10 seconds after the Corvette launches past me again. That was awkward.


Note: I don't condone street racing and know damn well that racing a Corvette would be a bad idea with a stock Taco. I just dont get it.

I have a similar experience.
Their is a guy with a little BMW 2 Door and he cut me off the other day and he sits in front of me right and goes slow and then just BRRRRRRT takes off!
So I try to catch him... but a 4 door long bed just can't keep up with a little BMW 2 door car...

 

I get that all the time, I really dont know why, I know the tacos are quick but its a 4x4 truck, Good for you for not racing

 

What a tool. He's probably on some Vette board right now talking about how he "killed" a Taco (while everyone else is reading the post with a "huh" look on their face)

 

Be proud that every a$$hole on the road wants to race your taco. Toyota apparently set the bar with the Tacoma and it is the thing to beat.

A woman in a minivan tried to "race" me today after the stupid chick cut me off. I had to laugh, it was so comical.

We have a winner! It was one of those "cool cars I'd like to own one day" until I drove one. Then I realized it was a GM product.

 

Hahaha! I like Vette's but the ZR1 with the massive supercharger then I remember...oh yea GM makes this and walk away.

seems the way everything else is going here so I got tired of derailing those and decided on reverse psychology

I'm glad you didn't give him the pleasure of a race. That's just stupid. No offense, but tacoma's will never beat a corvette unless they've got a healthy V8, go on a diet, and be more aerodynamic.

 

Could have beat him in the cowboy lane. lol
