So.. my stupid *now* ex boyfriend works at a dealership that fixes up trucks like the Penske(sp?) moving trucks and such and while washing my truck with a high power washer, some of the letters on the back of my truck came off, ripping the paint off along with it. Honestly im beyond mortified since I try as hard as I can to take care of my vehicles and have done pretty well so far.. To hide and cover it up he put a emblem over it for the dealership he works and wasn't going to tell me until the next day until I got it out of him. I have NO idea how much this is going to cost to fix it and get the stupid emblem off the back of my truck.

The emblems/letters on my truck used to say "Interstate Toyota Tacoma." I was eventually going to get a paint job anyway and have Interstate taken off, but with the way things are right now and getting laid off for stupid reasons im looking for a job so I can get my truck fixed up.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get the emblem taken off and the paint fixed up as well as the dings from rocks and such?

He said he used paint sealer (or something close to that) so it wont rust or chip off anymore but even then.. I want my truck looking just like it was when I bought it. I have nicks, scratches, hitch is bend a bit, dings and such and I have no idea how much it will cost. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated!!

:( My poor truck is so abused.. and I haven't had it a year now...

I cant upload a pic of the paint chipped off since he put a emblem over it but here is a picture of the emblem and a few dings and such I have.

With him being a car/truck mechanic for over 2 years I thought I could trust him.. buuuuut nooo. And people wonder why i flip when people touch my truck or get near it. XD

Once set the truck alarm off when a old lady bumped my truck lightlly with her butt when she was putting groceries into her small honda next to me. XD Almost gave her a heart attack. hahaha

Dr. Color Chip works pretty well.

    http://www.drcolorchip.com/

I just use the micro brushes to paint the area, let it dry about 10-20 minutes, and then use the paint remover to get the excess paint off. Read the instructions or watch the video for this to make sense: for the best results, wrap the cloth around a rigid piece of foam (sorta like a sanding block), get the excess paint off, reapply until the paint chip is level. The video shows a single application but a couple applications often looks better. You should get great results on white. On the textured area, I would just dab some paint and call it good.

Your last photo shows dented metal. A paintless dent repair guy can probably fix the dent and then you could touch up the paint.
