True story about my recruitment process. Went to the recruiters office shortly after 9/11. I was tired of college and decided that was my motivation. So went to the local recruiters office to "talk" and took the test and talked alot and then the recruiter said "alright we are gonna do a urinalysis and call it a day". I began making excuses to leave and he said "is there a reason you wont pass?" I didnt know I was going to have to take a piss test so I said, will it keep me from coming in? At that point he told me since I basically disclosed to him I wasnt clean he was required to put it in my paperwork. So I took the test and then gave it to him and he replied "holy shit, when was the last time you smoked?" I said, what time is it? He replied "245pm" I replied, about 4 hours ago in the parking lot before I came in here. ha ha ha

So a few months later, a drug waiver and here I am.

 

How hard is it to switch what your doing in the military??

 

We have a rotation from sea duty on a ship and shore duty. The time of those depends on your actual job. For example my rotation is 5 and 3. 5 years sea duty 3 years shore. So unless you are complete with your time at your current assignment the likely hood of transferring from your current command is slim to none.
