Man with 185lbs on the bar is on the knees. Jumps from knees to feet in squat position and pushes up to standing.

Alright guys I'm asking for your help here. I've been out of the workout routine since baseball season ended last year and have put on a few pounds that I don't want. Right now I want to focus on losing fat I understand the dieting and exercise get you there so what are so of your favorite cardio things to do. I used to enjoy running but now I doubt I can do a mile without stopping so I plan to start back and ease in to it. I'm hoping to lose about 30lbs minimum by March do you think that this is achievable? Preferably around 50. I can devote about 2 hours a day to exercising. Any cardio suggestions would be awesome. Do you think I need also to do strength training while doing this? If so please tell me some basic lifts. I want to lose the weight then start with strength training again. I'm 6'2'' 260lbs if that helps. Any one try the P90 series with any luck. I may try that because I have a friend that has it and I'm sure he'd let me borrow his.

Hey man.... just stick with multiple joint compound movements(ie. non isolating movements like leg extenuation) like squats, bench press, dead lift, lunges for the bulk of your exercises because these recruit the most amount of muscle fibers per lift and require more energy expenditure also thus = more calories burned... keep your reps above 8 to help aid in burning more calories.
I would stick with an split like this
    -Monday (Lower Body)
    -Tues (Upper Body)
    -Wed (Rest)
    -Thurs (Lower Body)
    -Friday (Upper Body)
    -Sat & Sunday Rest
The rest days can be used as cardio days...I prefer cardio on separate days or separate times of the day for the fact of needed rest and if your busting your ass on the weights for lets say an hour... I doubt you are gonna have much energy for cardio left. With high rep sets like 10-15 you are burning quite a bit of calories. I personally do a more separated split per group of body parts but for you trying to lean out and to just get in shape, this seems to be a good starting approach to take. I would say your lifts should take no more than an hour and i would shoot for your cardio in the 20-45 min range. Make the cardio fun... jog on a woods trail, ride a bike, etc. ... Read into HIT training (ex.) Walk 1 min,Run 1 min, and so on ....very good way to burn fat!

REMEMBER ... You can do all the working out and running you want but if your diet isnt in check... you wont get the results you want..... 80-90% of fat loss is in the diet. If diet is on point you can lose alot of weight sitting on the couch :)
Good luck and stick with it and you will get where you wanna be... we are all here to help!

Thanks. Like I said I've just gotten out of the routine for so long that I've forgotten what my old baseball work outs were. My old coach could have someone conditioned to run a few miles non stop by the end of the season. Before I dislocated my hip, which is what made me stop, he had me up to 4 miles everyday and base running after a 2 hour practice. So if nothing else we were the most conditioned team on the field.

2.5" lift, ARE Shell, Ducks Unlimited Rubber Floor Mats. ROGUE badges,
I have 3 25 pound chains I throw over my shoulders. For pull ups I do 4 sets (wide, hammer, chins, narrow pulls) with75lbs, then remove one and go 4 with 50lbs then 4 more with 25 and then 4 more with body weight.

After using the chains I hate weight belts, having that weight dangling messes up your shit haha.

For dips I usually do 5-7 sets of 10-15 reps with all 75lbs.

Weighted dip belt. I have seen people wrap chains around their neck as well.
