Yup ! But you have to get them all the time (licenses, gun purchases, ride a longs, etc). Since my background is clean, I don't care too much.

Yep doing my ride along with DPS here shortly. The city I live in won't let you ride along unless you have done their citizens police academy. But the next biggest town doesn't require it. Can't wait to go on my ride along. :woot:

yes, fairly certain. the littlest bit of movement causes the noise too. It is just annoying to hear I guess I was just wondering if anyone had the same problem and a fix.

I have the OME shocks and Dakar springs. Mine have recently started to squeak. I am not sure where it's coming from but plan to spend some time very soon figuring it out. Let me know if you find a solution.

Personally para or springfield for the 1911.. Your paying for a name on the others unless ur James Bond... 600 bones on my para... Then have trigger worked and internals filed and smoothed... You will love it tons more and be under budget thats my $.02

Blake, check Dan Wesson and Sig's 1911s. I have owned a couple Dan Wessons and they have always been great guns. As for Sig's 1911s; I've owned one since '04 and it is still my favorite pistol to shoot. They also just released a new 1911 that made a decent splash at the SHOT Show you might want to check out.

I can understand not having a budget, I just don't understand paying too much.

Life ain't easy for a boy named Sue....

So what do y'all think about a small 80amp welder? What's the biggest metal that it can handle?

Its either a trade for my train horns or $25.

What do you think a set of train horns are worth more than that?

Try putting a silicone lubricate where ever you think its squeaking and see if it helps. If it does then you found where the problem is and can find a solution.

    TRUE STORY!!
My mom had twins at her school a few years ago named orangejello and yellowjello.

    But pronounced orlangalo and yellangalo.

If that's not an implied face palm to the parents I don't know what is..

it was AAL and the leaf above it. I guess I disturbed it when I did the lift. the silicone lubricate stopped the squeaking. good call adam

A suggestion if they keep on squeaking...pull the leafs apart and put a bicycle tire innertube in-between the leafs so it acts as a friction pad

"Can" is an interesting choice of words. I've heard of one well-respected member on these boards who didn't change his for 25K mi.

I change mine every 5K, Mobil 1 has one I think they call "extended performance" that claims every 15K right on the container.

I would think that the filter would need to be changed way before 15K though, so :notsure:

So 5k-7500 is a safe number?
