I chew gum when I get hungry. That seems to work.

 

I did that all through hs, @ lunch I would only have a soda and $1 bag of chips. was always up to something, didn't find the time to eat. Can't do that no more though, getting old

 

now to ONLY drink water ea. time I get the urge for a bite ... gonna see if this works ... oh lol could't find anything for breakfast so I I ate 2 tamales around 9am.

Dudd go on bodybuilding.com snd check out the supersite. They have fucking articles to help almost everyone. Try dumping the green teA otger than before your work out and check out xtend by scivation. That has all of your amino acids and it is so good in watermelon. Try reducing the amount of simple carbs and switch that out for fibrous or complex carbs. Eat every two hours six times a day to help stay full and keep those eating urges away.

Make sure you include protein in every meal and stay consistant. Once you get out of line, it will affect your results. Although you may screw up, just pick up where you left off since you cant take back what you've already done.

When I get hungry I have some mixed nuts or an apple. I don't eat chips or the typical snacks. The thing that keeps me from snacking is I keep myself busy. If I watch alot of the TV I usually have food in my mouth. I stay pretty busy during the week so it isn't as big of an issue but on the weekend I now try to be doing something throughout the day. That is how our ancestors stayed thin. They were always working.

 

I get like that at times more than I used to when I was younger. going to have to go lurking the grocery store sometime this weekend. I think there is something my little nephew gets (he has type 2 diabetes, or the one where he has to get a shot of insulin before a meal/n such).

 

Do you cook? I cook everyone of my meals except on sunday when i eat whatever i want. Dont be eating those tamales man! You know, being able to control an urge is a part of manning up in this individual sport of health. If you cant do it alone, you need a partner for accountability.

 

This is actually one of the worst things that anyone do. Heck even medical reports (and I'm not one to buy what most doctors sell) show that people that consume "low cal drinks" tend to over eat more junk food, as they think "ah fewer calories". It's not just the calories, it's the quality of the calories.


Preprocessed foods such as those "low cal drinks" are very bad. Heck even the sweetener used are known carcinogens!


Drink the water, and eat fresh fruit, your body will thank you for it!

i see you have gotten some valuable info in this thread already (that catfish looks amazing too btw), but i figured i'll make my contribution.

my solution to not snacking hard? look at fat people. I remember when i was about 10 years old i had stayed with a friend and after breakfast i saw his mother who was quite overweight eating a little debbie nutty bar at 10 in the morning with a coke on the counter. it just hit me, would my 40 year old, healthy, thin mother ever be eating something like that at this hour of the morning? no! i grew up with very few snacks in the house and greens shoved down my throat at every meal. and now that me and my siblings are "grown up" (all in our 20's) we've had healthy eating habits instilled in us and we are all healthy in appearance and active individuals.

i might have mc donalds once every few weeks or a 3 or 4 sodas a week with things, but i just cant bring myself to eat "bad" all the time. neither should you. just focus on eating foods with as few preservatives as possible and make sure you have a good breakfast to give you energy though the day.

my general 6'4", 175lb self will often have through a whole day

a wholesome breakfast around 8 a.m. - 3 eggs, bacon, fruit cup, bread, coffee, milk.
no lunch, but a sandwich around 4 pm.
modest dinner - one pork chop, green beans, bread, tea or a beer.

i walk about 1-2 miles a day and that's really my entire lifestyle.
oh and driver, i get my eggs from my chicken feed/corn fed chickens

 

yup. I'm somewhat of a hermit type person I guess ... basically in short I'm weird. I have this stupid phobia of people watching while I eat as well as seeing people eat makes me uncomfortable. My parents were always at work when I was young so I had to make my own food/snacks when I got home from school (also they chained my damn bike so I wouldn't be able to ride down to the BK ).

As for somewhat of a sponsor type person I may look into it later. I feel at times I fall off what I am trying to achieve (but it's mainly due to work or something happening - fors ma shure? (sp)).
