Toyo Open Country M/T Question

Hey guys I was searching for toyo m/t's but I'm guessing they don't make them in a 285/65/18? Anyone running a comparable size in this tire with a 3" Lift on a 18" wheel? Also Ive heard these are quiet m/t's, anyone running these tires thoughts impressions?

 

I'm thinking any MT are a little noisy. Have the firestone MT and they hummm.

I ran the toyo m/t on my dodge and they were quiet and smooth. I liked them but not on a heavy truck cause they were bald in 20,000 miles.

 

any ideas about sizing?

 

I am running the toyo A/T in a 285/60-18. Had a spacer lift, now have 5100's.

I know 2 people running Toyo MT's....they both hate them. And they are louder than hell

 

try 275/70/18, its a 33" tire if thats not to big.. what im runnin and it works good. BFG GOODYEAR etc... many tires sizes.

 

In the pacific northwest this is the MT of choice as they are the main MT Les Schwab offers/pushes. Almost every MT I see are the Toyo Open Country MT. My dad has had two sets, he loves them. His first set got 44k miles, his second set is on pace for the same. Noise is there as with any MT but not nearly as loud as some other MT's I've ran. I've seen them in action on multiple terrains and they do great, especially in deep snow.

I drive round trip 80 miles to work every day or I'd run them on my truck. They're 3rd on this website

They and the Nitto Trail Grappler are some of the more quiet M/T's but all M/T's will hum. The down side to to the Toyo and Nitto is that they're very heavy and they're mostly all E rated. So expect a more of a drop in MPG and a harsher ride compared to other tires. But I will stand by the quietness. On a side note the Hankook M/T's are fairly lightweight, not as quiet but lighter for sure.

i like mine, but mine are 33x12.50x18 with 6 inch lift, im not sure what the metric size of them are, it doesnt say on the tire. They are louder tho, i had bfg tko's before, which i hated, and the bfg's were much much quieter, but thats the sacrafice of buying m/t's

Agreed. I got mine at Les Schwab (Portland/Tigard, OR) a few years ago. It is holding up well after 15K on them so far. Les Schwab offers summer sales, in addition to their free lifetime balance and rotation, I couldn't pass up on the deal. Love my Toyo MT's!

 

i absolutely loved mine...they were some damn good pullin tires in the mud

 

Im running Toyo m/t 33x12.5x20 they have a slight hum but I hardly notice and they're great in the mud and hardly wear on the road
