They have cabin filters now, so leaves can't get in.

Thanks to everyone that posted on this issue, my fan started chirping with the first sub zero temps this winter. After about one and half minutes of research and reading On TW I had the TSB number and the correct part number to ask my dealer.

I called today expecting some push back on the fix, but was surprised instead, appointment tomorrow to replace the unit with the part Sloweburn listed, thanks for the intel!

I had mine replaced 3 times in 2 years (under warranty) with the original part number. Chirp always came back within a month or 2.

Give the dealer the PN I listed above - I find I regularly have to tell the dealer what's wrong (I do work in a Toyota factory, so that helps my knowledge base).

    Good luck!

Had mine fixed at dealer; not even 2 months later started doing it again. I gave up on it. Had less problems with my 07' Hyundai; but I still have much love for my truck.

Mine's been through some 10-15 degree mornings (newest part number) and no signs of anything. It's been installed now for 2 months. This definitely seems to be an improvement on the previous 2 generations.

Took my '11 in for a ticking/clicking tonight. Loudest on lower fan settings, inaudible on high. Happened in the last 2-3 weeks as the weather in Minnesota has taken a turn for the cold.

They diagnosed TSB T-SB-0162-11 and replaced blower motor. Part number used was 87103-04043 "Motor Sub-Assy, B". It took them about an hour to fix. Noise gone now.

Don't know if this is something everyone is aware of, can't be bothered to read the whole thread, but I hope it helps :D

Just got my truck back. They replaced the blower motor (newest version) with no questions asked... Tech said they have been replacing a lot of them lately...
I was expecting since that it was not making any noise when I brought it in, they would give me the run around, but to my surprise they didnt.
