I'm really torn on which tires i'll be picking up this spring. Planning on 1.5" AAL's, Bilsteins all around and Eibach coils in the front. Either Mickey Thompson 16x8 Classic II's or Classic Locks. My standby tire are 265/75R16 Duratracs, but i feel like they'll look too small. Which manufacturers make 255/85R16's? I know of BF Goodrich, Cooper, Toyo and i think Maxxis. Is that all?
The only thing i'm worried about with either 285/75's or 255/85's is that it'll really affect city driving and acceleration. Especially with the 6spd MT, am i looking at frying clutches without a re-gear?

Just so you know from the numbers I have seen the Interco Trxus is the shortest 255/85r16, actually shorter then some 285s.

I got mine, haven't had a chance to give them a good test yet but they look good. A baby flex on the hill just north of my house.

Those look great 4W4B. They don't look that big on your truck for some reason? What lift are you running?

I am getting mine any day now, just shopping around for the best price...

    Those KM2's are spendy!

Thanks, and if you don't think they look big compare the pic with the stock Dungflops to the one with the KM2s.

OME 885s & Dakars got me 3" lift front & back, and a great ride on & off road
    255/85/16 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2
Discount Tire Direct wanted $218 for them.
Tire Rack wanted $195 for them.
Just plain Discount Tire wanted $202 for them, but have a if you find them at a lower price let us know policy. I let them know & they offered them to me at $190, since I could do a pickup at Tire Rack and would not have to pay shipping.

I think it's your fender flares or the way the truck is angled. But yeah, compared to the dungflops:rofl: they look a lot bigger.

I need to get these on my truck soon, I am starting to loose it...

My Firestone shop quoted me like $300 a piece installed. Time to start negotiating with them I guess.

I want to go there because they have a lifetime alignment service for about $160. Then I get free alignments for the life that I own the vehicle.

The KM 2's work awsome. Even in the wet heavy snow they impressed me. Hunting this year I was pushing through a foot and a half of snow without any trouble. They impressed me a lot. 255's all the way!

I almost fell out of my chair when the guy said he had used one to boot (with about 50% tread) that I could have for 50 bucks! What are the odds?

If anyone doubts this tire rocks in the snow, my and my buddy just went blasting through the snow up the mountaintop.

He is in a Dodge 2500 with 35 inch winter tires on it. I am in my 255/85R16 BFG KM2s.

He made it AAALMOST to the top. Another 50 yards or so through the last snow drift and he would have made it.

Close! He was dragging his diff etc and just couldn't do it.

Then I get by him, and blast through it, with some chugging right to the top and through the drift. My tires are not winter tires and I haven't lowered the pressure.

Big 35s, fantastic winter tire vs my mud terrains and I floated better and made it further in my tall/skinnys.

On the way down just for fun I tried to blast through a really deep part of a snow drift. Buried it right to the frame...that was that! Oops.

Out came the winch though and off I went :D

Lol ... Nice man... The km2's dig through deep stuff fairly well but I'll warn you on icy hard pack take it slow... They like to slide... I dnt mind them but they'll scare the average everyday driver on icy condition roads 8in plus of snow there pretty good

I siped mine, made a big diff on ice. Same in snow though.

I haven't found them to be worse than any other all-season on ice, and much better than other all-seasons in snow. As good as the all-terrain in any of these at least.

Got some... These suckers are SKINNY!

Have just driven them home from the tire store so far, but I was really surprised by how quiet they were. I have had no rubbing yet.

    I love these tires.

Ya KM2's are amazingly quiet for a MT. I'd put it up against any AT. At least in this size (No experience with other sizes)
