Grizzly660 in truck bed?

Has anyone put a Grizzly660 or similiar size 4wheeler in the bed of a regular size bed (not short)? I have the access cab, but wasn't sure if the plastic over the wheels in the bed would hold up to the front end of the Grizzly rolling over them. I'm afraid they might crack on the edge.

Im not sure how big a grizz 660 is. I know I couldnt fit my dads arctic cat 400 in mine. Arctic cats seem to be built a little bigger (frame wise) than most 4 wheelers. The wheels stopped on the plastic over the wheels and couldnt go further so i backed off. Just take it slow and it wont hurt to try. The plastic will withstand the weight. Hope it fits I'm gettin a new grizz 350 or 450 this fall. good luck

 

I have a trailer, but its a hassle sometimes to load everything up. I might give it a try, but after reading other posts of cracking back windows and bending tailgates, i might I just use my trailer from here on out. Thanks.

 

i had an 02 grizzly 660 that just barely fit in my dodge ram with a 6 ft bed with the tailgate up.i blew out my rear window once because the snatch block from the plow smashed the window. i doubt it would fit with the tailgate up,but i wouldnt be to worried about the wheel wells.its not like you'll be jumping and landing on them.

 

The Grizzly fits just fine in the bed as long as you put something between the front of the bed and the front tires before you tie it down. This prevents the bumper from breaking the back window. The tires sit right between the fenders in the truck and the rears sit between the tail gate and the bed. So far the tail gate has held up....

 

it'll ride. can't put gate up though. i've loaded mine a bunch and never had any problems. stop 6 in short from the front of the bed to avoid smashing glass. tie off with a good strong tiedown strap at the rear d-rings and one across front to cleats on bedrails. put the bedrail cleats at about the back of each front tire to help keep away from rear window. i'm running 26" Titans and the wheelwells have never been an issue...it fits between them...snugly. '02 grizz 660.

 

It will fit. You will probably have to drive the front tires over the wheelwells and the back tires will probably be sitting on the tailgate, but it will fit.
I dont foresee you cracking the wheelwells. They are made of the same stuff that boat hulls are made out of, so they are plenty strong enough to withstand the weight of your ATV.

 

that is why i bought a headache rack to protect my back window when i haul my atv

 

whered u get that rack? i have a grizzly 700 and accidnetly put in through my back window...that was a 900 dollar fix

i put a kawasaki brute force 750 in my truck and it barely fit. the front tires were wedged between the plastic over the wheels. it was a pretty heavy load for my truck but i also need the rear tsb

 

it cost me about 500 canadian, but i like it and it looks good. i might put lights on it also

I put my '08 Kawasaki BruteForce 750 in my DC SB w/ the tailgate down, and I thought it fit just fine...

I need the TSB, though... I felt it bottoming on some forest roads...

 

i was wondering that too because i am about to buy a '09 grizz 700 for my double cab long bed,according to the measurement it will fit.

 

We have an 07 700 and I'm wondering this for my DCLB too.

 

the bumper and or rear rack (if loading backwards) is what doesn't quite fit. even with stock tires I don't think the gate will close.

it fit in my old t100 (8' bed with toolbox, but I had to load backwards with rear tires against toolbox. had to squeeze the gate closed...but it fit.

 

well i guess i will buy a trailer then,thanks for the input rcbs
