I found this auction on eBay for these wheels. Good deal? I know I would be paying over retail, but if you can't find them, then really, what IS retail? He is asking $1500.
Also, I was thinking Duratracs on them. What size would you suggest? I have Billies up front and the TSB in the rear. Do not want any issues. What am I missing???

I dont think they are worth it for $1500. If you have that kind of money to spend on them, buy plain alloy ones and have them custom powdercoated. Probably come out cheaper in the end.

They are going to make you provide an FJ vin number in order to buy them.

So? Are they going to ask for pictures? Tons of VINs online.

I've never heard of someone successfully using a vin they found online to buy a set of those wheels, but let me know how it goes.

I've heard of people using their friend's FJ vins, but that's a one-time deal. I'd imagine that when they call up that vehicle they would be able to see what's been sold under that account already.

    I did :)

Also, If you buy 4 wheels at once you must provide proof of ownership and proof of loss i.e. police report or insurance claim form. It's a total pain in the ass. I tried 5 times before i got lucky. But worth it. These are a perfect fit for tacoma if you are going to run 285/75/r16 with a 3" lift.

Yep just make sure to decode it so you have the right answers if he tries to ask what package your vehicle is.

Fill out an online claim form, use a PDF printer to get it to a PDF so it looks official, typed, then send it to shoptrd.

I'm pretty damn sure it could be done with a bit of social engineering, just don't make mistakes :D

$1500 is way too much for these rims. $99 shipping is a joke too. There are much cheaper ones out there.

They seemed pricey, maybe I'll try a different avenue. Sweet wheels, though!
