I have 265 on 4.5 -12 offset wheels I would love a wider more aggressive stance. Was thinkimgjust about 1.25 " spidertrax....Is that gonna put to much strain on my truck or is it ok? If you've done it and have pix please post!!!

It's going to push the wheels too far out, increasing your turning arc, and leading to rubbing on the outside of the tire when turning. We have a couple of members on here who have tried it and could barely get out of their driveways.

And for future reference, we have a wheels and tires section. Thats why it took 5 days for a response because the wheel and tire folks usually hang out in the wheels and tires section

So do you know if they were running 285's?? With my 265s I figured it would make them stick out about as far as 285s. My tires are almost flush with my fenders

Width difference between a 265 and 285 is 20mm, which is about 3/4 of an inch, so your going quite a bit further than 285's... with the backspace on your wheels, you can afford to get 285's.

Chadderkdawg's right, and only half of that width difference will be seen on the outside of the tire. So 285's only stick out 10mm further than 265's.

    me

I had 285's though. I took a angle grinder to my fender wells and cut all kinds of shit out and it still rubbed. I took them off after a couple days bc I couldnt turn without hearing the tires rubbing all over the cab mounts, front bumper, who knows what else. I had a 3" lift as well.
