Haha I'm the opposite. I bought my truck myself because I didn't want to drive what my parents gave me (96 tacoma 5-lugger) and everyone gets butthurt when I tell them I own it. Everyone thinks my parents bought it and shit but I have paid every dime that goes into my truck. I don't know why high school and college kids even give a rats ass what others drive. I'd be happy to have any car if all I could afford was a beater.

And yeah, engineering is torture. I almost switched from M.E. to business lol. Now I have an internship this semester so I don't even go to school.

This truck is a work truck - not a lot of fancy mod's here, but it's getting the job done!
Hey - don't mess with my business degree. That's what I wanted to get, and by doing so, I also studied American History (Magna Carta to Civil War) and A great deal of Philosophy, Religion and a dabbling of physics...

Engineering is cool, but not what I wanted to do...

don't let it get to you - it's an engineer thing because while they are bent over calculator with pocket protectors, we were/are learning about making money...

    :worthless:

    Paid for everything on mine.

And meh...engineering may be harder to get..but doesn't mean a business degree is easy. Hell id love to see you try and get an "easy" music degree  No education is really "easy". In fact to me the degree you are trying to get should be the easiest as you should be passionate about it and enjoy doing it. Why I'm doing what I'm doing, i love it, not for money or to say i passed some really hard test and can call myself and engineer :p haha Who cares how much money you make. It all about enjoying what you do.

    ^^wise words

And my parents bought my truck....but not one mod or any maintenance done on it was paid for by them. (except for the tires they put on it)

well...my dad bought the truck originally as a beater DD, then when he sold his dodge durango and bought his frontier he had a DD that got good mpg's and gave the taco to me for my 16th birthday. He also got it off a friend for a good deal. (only paid 4k for it in 2005...it was worth 10K)

I could never ask for money from my parents for anything...not even gas money. I just have too much respect for myself.

I take pride in taking care and modding my own vehicle. And soon when I start working a steady job I will pay them back for it.

if i got 11 mpg i would probably kill myself.

i try yo keep it at 2k all the time, so i hope when i get 33s i only lose an mpg or 2. possibly could do some mpg mods to even it out?
