never heard of it but its probably fine. google it and see what it says. I just use whatever the shop has. sometimes swix, sometimes oneballjay or something similar.

    this V
that is the best way to learn. having a friend teach you just makes him frustrated with you and you frustrated with him. take a lesson and go from there.
rent board one time, rent skis one time, see what you like and if you feel like dropping mad loot buy them.

there is a huge difference between cheap shit and good shit. (as scott will be able to tell you once he gets new bindings) (at least he got a good board though.. skunk ape is nassstyyyyyy)

you can get a complete set of boots, board, bindings for under $400, but its not going to be any good once you know what you are doing.

Yea you don't need private lessons, group lessons are fine and should be pretty affordable with rental and lift ticket

    x100

i first bought a cheap SIMS board off ebay with sims bindings cost me more to ship the thing than i spent winning the auction...used for a year or two and had to get a new board. Spent a good amount of money on a board/boot/binding package but wont be needing to buy another board for a while.

eddie....if your girl is not all that tall (under/around 5'9'' ish)...i still have my old board its a 147 and i just slapped some kick ass bindings on it (although i might throw them on my board) all you would need is to rent some boots from a ski shop and she can use it all she wants. Save ya some money on renting the stuff. I only ride it if i REALLY wanna hit rails and im not all about that anymore hasnt seen much action the last few years.

    let me know

So you think one of your friends wants to pay almost $100 just to teach you? Get a lesson...chances are your friends aren't going to teach you the correct basics and no friend really wants to spend their day and lift ticket money teaching when they could be riding.

Ive been there and done that way to many times.

I will not take any girl and attempt to teach her how to ski. Last time I took a chick up for the weekend and she made it for all of 5 minutes.

and friends...well lets just say I would take them to the top, push them down, then ski backwards while laughing at them.

The only time I teach is when I take my nephews.

She is barely 5'1" and weighs in at a whopping 103lbs.

ah well the board would be around her size maybe a lil big....it was always really small for me. If you think you would wanna check it out/borrow it let me know...the only thing is the bindings may end up being a tad on the big side. Either way it would save ya some money in the begining see if you both like it and then buy your own new gear.

Driving 8hrs in the same day as skiing for 8hrs is for the young guys. Been there and done that before.

I'm taking off this Friday just so I'm not driving 4hrs Friday after work and then 4hrs Sunday.

Gotta maximize the weekend + with the new job I'm driving all over the place everyday. Started today in NJ then to my office in Philly then Abington - then another Philly appointment - then back to the office - then NJ. :goingcrazy:

Guess I should air up cause I'm still running 20psi since Saturday :D

    good one - that's cheap
