Don't waste your time looking for AXT.. Its only on ebay. I looked up everything everywhere. The AXT and another one (can't remember the name) are the only ones worth looking at. I looked up some videos on AXT and the only one I found was in a camry. But atleast you get an idea of how it opperates.

Hopefully it is the Rosen unit because at that price its a steal. I have one and paid twice as much.

I see another one on Ebay this time a Caska, with rca outputs and the faceplate seems to look like a better match to the factory silver than the rosen and rosen clone units. Anyone with a rosen type unit have any comments on the color match?

I have the Rosen and the face plate matches the factory silver pretty good. I would give caska a try. The interface looks better than the Rosen.

Can anyone tell me if any of theses units require a seperate mic for the bluetooth or if the factory installed mic on the rearview mirror can be used. Also, do the phone call buttons on the steering wheel continue to work?

It's not the Rosen unit, it is the Caska unit. The Rosen unit has the knobs in the middle of the buttons, not on the bottom of the unit. The Caska comes with a wired bluetooth mic that you will have to put somewhere in the vehicle. The radio controls on the steering wheel will work but I don't know about the bluetooth controls. I've heard mixed things about it working with the JBL systems, some have said you need an adapter others have said you don't. Hopefully someone can confirm that.

I created an account and PMed him.

The thread over there is pretty informative on what it has to offer.

He said that there is a firmware update for the new models so the adapter for the JBL systems aren't needed. I told him to check out TW and start a thread to answer any questions about what hes selling and he may get some interest, while we get more options and possible good deals.

No seperate mic is needed. It's built onto the unit which is a good thing. The quality is good and you can adjust the mic sensitivity on the unit from STD to High. On STD (standard) the caller on the other line can hear me fine and clear I've never had to adjusted to high. Also I believe you lose your factory bluetooth control on the steering wheel but you still have it. Instead its control with the audio button on the steering wheel. Track up is answer call and track down is hang up.

TRDSport253 - First thank you very much for the write up. It's been a great resource in my decision of what unit to purchase. So if you don't mind, I'd like to hit you with another question. The one thing I'd like to know before I buy one, is if there is a usb input on the rear of the unit. I'd like to run a USB cable to the glove box and hook that up to a thumb drive or hard drive. Any thoughts?

I just bought the Rosen unit from the same guy you did on Ebay! Good to hear everything looks good so far, please post pics. Now I have to find the Sirius Satellte kit (DP-1097) online. Once I get mine installed next week i'll post pics of the install.

I feel like this is a dumb or obvious question but the Rosen and Caska units will work with the Aux input that comes with the 09+ trucks, correct? I know a lot of people have iPods but I'm still using a Zune haha

The USB is actually in the front. Its a mini USB port. Rosen include a cord that plugs into the unit on the front faceplate and on the other end you just plug in your flash drive in.
