    With a Wilson...you don't need a spring lol and i just did some reading and ppl seemed to like it better. What im gonna get.

    and it wasn't mine that was the issue i think, Jon's was. He said he's always had issues. Think his antenna isn't tuned right.

    well in that case I'm getting a cheap 30 dollar unit i know it won't use it much after moab
    im not sure where i want to mount the antenna maybe behind the cab and get a no ground antenna

    First of all I would like to thank everyone of you who have a job and pay taxes thank you for paying for the mods on my truck! hard work, being a good student and getting Grants on top of a full ride to college has paid for everything that's going to happen in the next few months. you can see your tax dollars at work!

    my rack isn't going to go all the way back its going half way over the cab to about 3 ft past the cab. I'd have to mount it on the side of the rack some how :confused:

    and yea man just get a 3ft antenna and attach it to the rack. It'll be easy to do.
