    just want to hear what brakes you have used on your 2nd Gen, also where did you purchase and how many miles you got out of them..I am doing pads and Rotors and Drums well all brake stuff since I have 72,000 and they will need to be replaced soon anyways.

    OEM. I havnt heard of any OEM brand lasting as long on a truck as ours. I went with OEM. I think they're like $70 for pads (set). Don't remember rotor cost though..

    the OEM on my chevy express van has 120,000 and counting but it does have 4 wheel antilock brakes

    Tow package, XM Satellite radio, K & N Air filter, & Channel Vent Visors
    On my last Tacoma(2005), I used Wagner Ceramics from Advanced auto parts. Caught them on sale for around $40. Excellent pads! Zero noise & good stopping power. And with most pads free lifetime replacement pads. I plan on putting them on my 2011 when the time comes.

    never did it before, had a buddy help me that has done them, took us around 45 minutes per side on the rears. the springs are a pain. the fronts on the other hand are a breeze to change, maybe 10 minutes on those. dont forget your brake parts cleaner!
    my truck has 67k on it and the rotors are still in great shape.
    i would inspect yours before buying new ones.
    and youtube saved me on a little trick with two bolts on pulling the rear rotors away from the hub
