Just like the title says. I had to pull my positive (+) cable from my battery to replace the terminals with some aftermarkets and I think that the keyless entry resetted back to some weird horn setting instead of just the beep beep alert. I get the beep beep honk honk honk (short bursts) when locking the doors now. Any Ideas? My neighbors are giving me evil looks because I replaced the factory horn with the compact Bad Boy Air Horn and it is loud at night with those honks.

    Too many mods to list
When I finished the install for my sound system I got the same problem when I reconnected the battery.

However, at the same time, my rear passenger door lock got damaged, it does not open/close electrically and that seems to be the culprit.

I would check to see if all your doors are closing/opening with the beeper.

Side note: I still have not fixed it and my neighbors will probably give me evil looks soon as even I hate how loud it is.

It turned out that my factory battery was going bad and Toyota recommended that it be replaced. I went ahead and purchased the Odyssey 34R-1500 Red Top battery. The horn does not do the honk anymore when I lock the doors with the remote, but the door locks won't engage/disengage anymore when I shift into park or drive like before. I can live without that feature though. Here are some pics of the difference in size. I had to cut a piece of oak for the factory mount because of the height difference.

The wood piece is LWH 6 15/16" x 3" x 1" if anyone wants to do this. I liked this idea rather than go with a plastic tray to raise it up. The factory battery cables do not give a whole lot of slack to run aftermarket terminals. I originally didn't have a problem with the Ground (-) cable and a new terminal, but the Positive(+) had no slack so this works.

FYI.....Odyssey has a mounting plate that you put under the battery to raise it to stock height.

Yeah I originally saw that when I purchased it but I opted not to get it because of the factory cable lengths and wanting to go with new terminals. I like the low profile now. This battery has great output and even blew away the Toyota top-of-the-line True Start. I have owned an Odyssey Battery in the Past with my Jeep and that thing took every accessory that I threw at it, it was a true workhorse. :)

Yeah I saw that when I purchased the battery but I wanted the lower profile to try and fit new terminals without having to lengthen the factory cables.
